These were tears of joy. Key and Jonghyun were proud and happy with how far they came. To be performing at the Tokyo Dome was a huge honor to them. Depression isn't being sad all the time. As someone who's had depression for many years now I can tell you that I have many happy memories with friends and family. Sometimes the emptiness just gets to me. For those of you saying that all he needed was for them to help him, they did. They supported him and loved him. Outside support can only go so far though. In the end you have to learn to love yourself too. For Jonghyun, he couldn't do that in the end. Don't ever say they didn't try to help him though. They were his brothers, his family. He meant everything to them, and they meant everything to him.

True, being an igot7 even I can't stop myself from crying when I saw this dingko -k beauty video where jonghyun consoles the girl and tight after that this video. Hope he is happy now and in a better and peaceful place where no sorrows bother him. Mental problem is real. Being an indian and losing SSR (Sushant Singh Rajput) in 2020 was a real shock. Then getting to know about jonghyun from my cousin who's an army 3 weeks before was another shock. You see whether you stan shinee and jonghyun or not, that isn't important. You'll agree that he had a pure heart which made even strangers smile when he smile. That smile innocence and pureness he had was something non describable. Can I just say a few things about this one moment? Not only how beautiful it is, but how each member is to Jonghyun when he hugs them? I'll start with Key. When Jjong approached him like that, you could really feel how badly he wanted to comfort him. These two are the most emotional members of SHINee. When one cries, the other is sure to follow. How Key reacted to the situation wherein it was Jjong's turn to breakdown was no surprise. These two took the longest to break apart, almost not wanting to let go. Best friends, soulmates even. Then, the maknae. Taemin has admitted before that he has trouble expressing his emotions, his reaction was no surprise. He looked awkward but he didn't pull away or push Jjong away. He let him hold him and cry, smiling a little because he didn't really know what to do. Then the leader, gosh, my tears got worse when he went to hug Onew. Onew closed his eyes and hugged back, smiling reassuringly. He was used to Jjong's crying fits, but that doesn't make any new ones less deserving of comfort and reassurance that he's always going to be there for Jjong no matter what. Then last but certainly not least, Minho. He hugged his hyung so tightly, smiling as he did so. He enjoys being there for his members, being able to be their pillar whenever he can. I can't imagine the pain they are still feeling right now. As a fan, I wish I could make it go away. I want them to remember only happier times and never any bad. But, even if we can never heal the scar that runs so deep... We can at least lessen the bleeding. We love you boys! Stay strong always!

this is so heartbreaking to watch in retrospect. never followed the group's career but as a kpop fan and someone that has dealt with suicidal tendencies for many years now, stories like this always strike a chord. he loved his members and they loved him, even if you only ever saw this video that much is blatantly evident. i'm so glad they were all responsive to his emotions in this moment and didn't just brush him off like so many other young men would if they saw their friends expressing emotion. Minho is such a good friend. All these comments about Jjong, but Minho deserves some love too. Even as Jonghyun is full out sobbing, he doesn't belittle him, doesn't brush off his crying, he simply goes to him and pats him on the back in support, and when it's his turn for a hug, he returns it sincerely. I think they had a love that was more like family than friends...I think they knew already that he was not okay and they were legit doing everything they could to both cherish and protect him. The height of emotions here speak volumes of their struggle together to get to that point. In recognition of the human condition innate.

I'm still so upset over Jonghyun's passing. It's so hard to watch footage of him and realise that he's gone. What adds to the heartache is people saying he gave up too soon. If you've ever suffered from depression or nursed someone who has, you'll know how absolutely debilitating a condition it is. It takes over your life, makes you see things differently to how you usually would, it even makes you push away the people who love you the most, for fear of bringing their mood down with your negativity. It's a cruel illness, and much more common than we think. Many people suffer in silence because they just don't think anyone would really care. There is a great video on here which helps outsiders to understand what it's like to live with depression. It was recommended to me when i suffered, two years ago. It's called "I had a black dog, his name was depression" and i would recommend anybody to watch it. Please guys don't forget that this is from 2015. From their first concert in Tokyo Dome. It was one of their biggest dreams coming true, and their fans were making a giant WE LOVE SHINee appears in the venue... Jonghyun is a very sensible man, and these tears were clearly from thankfulness for his members and for his fans...

ena Actually Kibum was the first one to cry in this vid, not Jonghyun. They all came around Kibum to hug and Jonghyun starts crying when he's hugging Kibum. So don't say that no one's saying anything about Kibum when the whole thing basically started because of him. But I get what you mean, Kibum and Jonghyun ALWAYS cry at the end, there's nothing wrong with this vid...

I can feel how his only reason to hold on was SHINee and the fans, I can see how he's way too tired, and how he already made the decision of... doing that, and how he doesn't want to go because he loves SHINee SO much. He was technically saying goodbye to the members and that he loves them no matter what. Rest in peace angel, we miss you a lot
