Mr Tada was my high-school teacher at John Burroughs High-school 1988..one of the kindest people i ever met. I was relatively new to this country and high school kids are brutal. He made me feel welcomed. He understood me and gave me advice. Made me his teacher aid...I remember him vividly because he made a difference in my life. He would tell me about how he and his family were sent to internment camps( prisons) during the war all Americans of Japanese decent were picked up in the middle of the night by soldiers. Scary stuff considering you were born HERE!!!!. Well he adored his wife Joni I still have one of there books..Mr Tada if you read this . Thank you Sr for your kindness and for being a great educator. I remember you very kindly..many blessings always to you and your loved ones. Please take care..

I liked what Joni said about crushing the rose petals. The fragrance isn't released until the crushing happens. Marriage is a crushing experience. Crushing of wills. Crushing of hopes and dreams. Crushing of expectations. Crushing of spirits. But when that crushing takes place if the couple can only realize as Joni does about the fragrance of that crushing and how totally unique the marriage is because of all the things the couple has endured. I love my husband more today after soon to be twenty years of marriage because of the crushing that has taken place between us. The death of our son, my husband's health issues, my health issues, and raising a special needs child. All these things shaped who we are and who our family is today. My step-mother-in-law is now terminally ill with Alzheimer's. My father-in-law is taking care of her at home with the help of family. What a beautiful picture of Christ taking care of his Bride! The world just does not see suffering as we Christ followers do. If you are being crushed right now cry out to Christ. Cry out to your heavenly Father. He knows about all of our infirmities. My husband just came through 18 months of taking care of me after a terrible accident. Now we wonder where our future will lead but God kept me here on this earth for a reason. Life is a bowl of rose petals! Smell the fragrance!!

I think all married couples arrive at a point where they feel trapped, whether there is a disability involved or not. Yes, Ken knew Joni was paralyzed when he married her, but one doesn't really know what it is to take care of a sick partner until one actually does it. I think Ken's feelings were completely normal and I commend them both for sticking with each other in sickness and in health. Not every couple lives up to that vow.

Their love is so deep for each other, but also for Christ! Not too long ago, I found & bought her movie on Amazon from a Goodwill store & watched it again for the first time in many many years and it still touched me just as deeply as it did the very 1st time I saw it. What made it all the more special is she played herself in the movie and did such a beautiful job. I don’t think anybody could’ve done it better. She is a True witness for My savior Jesus Christ ! WHY because they did not suffer for me,,Jesus did

Joyce Huff I do know about Joni and her immense influence in the christian world. That is also why I am upset and disturbed when I hear her ( unlike what I would expect) mock christians praying for healing at the "Strange fire conference" I don't think that is honering God. I do know that suffering is part of life, but is NOT a goal in itself. Let us be honest and say that Joni in spite of true trauma, also has had the best Medical care and a real good Network of friends and Family. I work on the mission field in a third world country leading a work for special need kids. Suffering is oten very cruel and every time I have witnessed a healing I have thanked God with all my Heart. I don-t think Joni should praise suffering, and too connect it with marriage is really bad taste

As much as I love Joni and Ken and know that their ministry is from God, I will never accept that when God promises that He has a plan not to harm me, it does not include my body as Joni says in previous vlogs. I believe in Gods goodness to me as a spiritual, physical and psychological (soul) being and as such He heals ALL of me. We are all called into the fullness of His grace but our experiences are as diverse as those of individual children from the same family. When we finally get to heaven we can ask the 'why?' but for now I'm just asking 'How?'. See you there.
@BooRadleyTube8 жыл бұрын
Joni's response would be that God isn't "harming" you by allowing problems in your life, because " in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). The Bible offers countless examples of godly people who were allowed to suffer illness, persecution, poverty and nurture. You cannot and never will in this life be completely well, as long as you're in your earthly body in a fallen world. If you think about it, many very godly people are sick or disabled. It's not because God "wishes them harm." Quite the opposite: "For our light and temporary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that far outweighs our troubles" (2 Corinthians 4:17).
@stingerbee83467 жыл бұрын
Well then why does any Christian ever die at all? God causes ALL THINGS to work together to them who love Yahweh and are called according to his purpose. he doesn't cause all things. He causes them to work together for good. And he does not promise that you'll have a life of perfect health and no problems. Remember, after the initial gifts of the apostles started to calm, Paul told Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach. Paul was not telling Timothy he was just a dirty sinner. Also, remember that the bible says that if you follow Jesus Christ you WILL endure tribulation. It's not an 'if' it's a 'when.' You are blessed with all SPIRITUAL blessing in the heavenly place. You are not guaranteed a life without pain. God can heal. But he doesn't promise you a perfect body.
@sharonspencer23122 жыл бұрын
God allows these things, does not cause them, because of sin of Adam & Eve, we have many attacks from the enemy of our souls.
