The LP, "Chalk Mark In A Rainstorm" was made during the 80's Joni was sort of overlooked on this one, big mistake, This was a pairing on various tracks with different top artists during the time. A few days ago, I stumbled with a small record store in Buenos Aires. It had a wonderful collection of albums from the 70s and 80s. I ended up talking with the owner for hours, jumping from prog rock to folk, then to jazz. This man was a musical encyclopedia (I felt proud whenever I was able to keep up with the inventory of his evocations). I had picked 'Dog Eat Dog' by Joni; he put it on the turntable and the speakers blasted with 'Fiction'. Before, I had told him that I had several Genesis albums and, with complicity, he mentioned this song. Embarrassed, I told him that I didn't know it (though I love both Peter Gabriel and Joni). He paused the record and, with a fatherly smile, googled the song; I heard it and immediately loved it! As beautiful and moving as it can get with these two sensitive monsters. Lovely video BTW!
