Masanobu Fukuoka, One Straw Revolution... he went even further and discovered rice grows well without flooding. And his philosophy applies to this thinking... most people look at a project/garden etc. and say "what else can I do here to enhance this"? Fukuoka says "what am I doing that I don't have to do"?

Simplicity is key. But you can only live simple in rural areas of developing countries, everywhere else, it is impossible for a number of reasons. That's why i moved with my family from Europe to rural Africa, to be able to do just that.

yes. I agree with you Jon. We need to work hard in the right way to live sustainably and to become leaders in our own home first before we can lead the community. As parent, I make the decision for my child's education. I start from there, to change the young mind. When new generation have options and think outside the box, there will be new and better way for society to develop and for country to change. It's a very exciting time to live!

Part of the problem is that the average size of a house keeps getting bigger and more complicated. I agree if you make a simple small house you should be able to build it yourself without paying an architect or engineer, but there are also risks of it collapsing during a storm and killing the people inside so maybe there should be some pre approved engineering that if you build a house that way you don't need to ask permission from the government and you will know it will be safe. I'm not really a fan of government regulation, but houses last for a long time and if you buy a house from someone and don't know anything about houses than you should be able to know that it won't fall down on you. I built a small building 8 ft x 10 ft a few years ago and learned a lot about building. There is a lot of information on the internet about how to build a house correctly and I think anyone that wants to build a house for themselves should build a few non-habitable buildings first, you will learn a lot. You are right, building a simple house isn't very hard if you know what you're doing, but you should have some experience or pay someone with experience to inspect your house before you sleep in it.

Also urban houses and even more so apartments, obviously must have regulations that are different and stricter compared to rural simple houses, on both security and esthetic parameters.

The uneasiness that comes from people can be termed 'psychological complex' and can easily be put off. The uneasiness that comes from the complex society [ that is complicated by human laws] can easily be handled by determination to find find 'the good path' - with the AMIGHTY, THE CREATOR.

Jon did not ask us to subscribe to his channel or click the like button. That is true love, true care, true sincerity to help the world, true dignity of the soul. His voice is calm, peaceful, content. I almost do not want to listen to other ...smart owners of youtube anymore because i do not feel true love from them. . I feel that they are stressed out trying to make money on youtube, and i have less trust and respect for them, even for religious teachers. One thing i wonder what women can do to have easy life like Jon. They cannot build houses with their weak hands, they cannot dig ponds, create electricty, heat in the house....😊

Standards. HG Wells wrote a book, (I think another writer paid Wells to put his name on it), "Anticipations", the short title. The goal of the book was to empower a small group of men over all of humanity. 0art of that was to cause accreditation and registration to be required, so through the registration, limitation could be placed on the people.
@tomcondon6169 Жыл бұрын
I will say this. You can tell me how I am wrong. Apples. An apple seed does not make the fruit of the apple that provided the seed. Most wild apples do not taste good. Most good apples are from... A seed that produced good fruit, the branches were cut for grafting, the branches were grafted to a common tree, and the fruit is very good. Common apple trees make fruit that is not tasty, but the juice is adequate for making apple cider, (an alcoholic drink), or apple juice. Good apples are complicated, as are good avocado's, similar. I agree, with what you say about simple, (simplicity), I value simple, but I understand complex. I hold to the simple, but I understand the complex.

And when we need "specialists" for everything, we need to pay them a lot of money - which means tax money for the government. Which means that government is encouraging thins kind of stuff - and "regulates" it.

I agree with much of what you say but in this case it's more complicated than you're preaching about... Another explanation is that a bunch of ignorant humans who were immature and lazy built houses that collapsed during earthquakes or died in electrical fires and people started realizing that if you're going to build a home it has to be safe for you and the future owner and your current neighbors so we could live in larger society. building your own house in the middle of nowhere where your mistakes only effect you is fine. Building a home that will collapse or set fire for you and everyone in the neighborhood is another deal. There is a balance and a sense of responsibility that is imposed from the outside when we do things improperly and we force government to be our parents because we're irresponsible psychological children.
@mikem54755 ай бұрын
But that thinking is fatally flawed, that we need govt because we are children. Because then, it is impossible to be an adult and make your own decisions
