Thanks for the videos. Please revisit the question “ what are the key differentiators between BPF and Apps?” And answer with more depth beyond “ use an app when you want or a BPF when you don’t”

Awesome video, as always. ***Would really be nice to be able to drag and drop fields from a list of CDS fields into each stage.

Triggered Process is the next thing I am excited to see how develops. As of right now I would have to create a separate workflow/flow pr step if I wanted to trigger something different pr step (as of my understanding). Would be interesting to see if we could get at parameter inn here, so I only have to create 1 workflow/flow and then check to see what stage I was in, and from there decide what to do. Maybe this I possible already, but I am just not sure how to:)

Also, the part of adding fields and forms doesnt go automagically to the solutions part. Even if I go to the solutions manually I dont find my project there.

hello i don't know if you found a solution but i have the same problem, when i go to solutions --> default solutions and then i find my project i cannot add fields, when i click to edit it , it goes directly to the BPS page so i don't know if you found a solution and you would like to share it with me. It would help me a lot . Thanks in advance

Hi Jon. I might have stumbled on to this video pretty late, but are these BFP steps not relevant anymore in PowerApps? I don't get the interface for adding stage specific fields and forms :(

The video shows Karan opening the form in the modern interface. Mine will only let me open the form in classic. Has the feature not rolled out yet?

I've followed the steps here but the custom Multi-option fields I have added to the entity I created are not showing up when I am adding the Data Steps to the BPF. They do not appear in the drop down when I set up the Properties of my Data Step. The other custom text fields I added to the entity do show up in the drop down. How do I get the custom multi-option fields to appear so I can assign them to a Data Step?

Possible silly question, how does CDS integrate with DynamicsCE 365, can these BPFs and forms easily write to Dynamics?
@disturbedcarrot

@JonJLevesque 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Jimbo... CDS is the Data layer of Dynamics. its the same stuff!
@crmkeeper
@crmkeeper 5 жыл бұрын
I you are a Dynamics consultant, you think of this as Dynamics. Only difference now is that they are surfacing entities that normally only were shown via Advanced Find before, and that the BPF now is created in the flow menu.
@disturbedcarrot
@disturbedcarrot 5 жыл бұрын
Another possible silly question here, we use DynamicsCE, when and why would I consider CDS over Dynamics or in conjunction to Dynamics?
@crmkeeper
@crmkeeper 5 жыл бұрын
@@disturbedcarrot not a silly question at all. Dynamics is CDS, and or the other way around. Depends on how you look at it. As long as you have dynamics online, your database is based on a CDS layer where you can access all your data. There are many magical new words from MS lately, but your crm database is also a cds database. Everything has been prepared by Microsoft on the server side, so you don't need any manual action.

If you cant select none as of now in Common data service entity in the current version of flow. why to make a video for it. doesn't make sense. Instead make a detailed video for BPF for the current version of flow. As the earlier 5 parts are definitely very good source of information but related only to a specific type of BPF which is limited. Can you make for numeric calculations ?

@@JonJLevesque the training for flow available at the Microsoft website is not sufficient to make even more complex BPFs, hence i request you to make some training videos for the same. Thank you for your time and response 😁
