@Jon Levesque do you have a video for the following scenario: within my form, I have a question to upload a document.. used Parse function to save the file to Sharepoint. However, if there is no file uploaded when completing the form, the flow fails. If using a parse, how do I tell flow if there is no file uploaded, skip that step and just send the email as indicated?? Perhaps there is a different approach other than using parse for attachments to be included on email notifications as part of a flow??

This is awesome. Thank you. I am trying to setup something like this (word document with banking account details) BUT I am trying to move away from emailing attachments with account details through Outlook. As the email notification is coming from power automate in outlook, I wonder if I'm back to square one with my security concern?

Hello Jon and Ash, Thanks for the video. I am creating a similar workflow and my folders are within the same document library. So, when I am moving a file from one folder to other folder, it is not picking the link from the second folder, instead its showing from previous folder. Any pointers to this ?

Hi. I benefit greatly from your videos in learning the power platform. I have one specific scenario where I need your help. I have a flow that runs on a selected file in a document library just like this example video. In addition, I have added 2 more files as "Input" items which are selected by the user when the flow runs. I need to attach those file as well to a "start and wait for an approval" item as well as an email that goes out with it. Your help with a video on how to do that would be extremely helpful and much appreciated.

Hi Jon and Ash. Love this content you have been being to us. I am in the process of creating a complex PowerApp with PA for Approval. The issue I have is if a user deletes the approval email how can they navigate to the Approval without giving them access to SharePoint. As currently if they click my approvals they will then get sent to the file in SharePoint for the approval. Thanks and have a great day Rob

Thanks for this! For the file name in the move file step, how do you set the flow to grab any file dropped into a specific folder? Instead of one specifically named file?

Lauren Alsobrook in the ‘move file’ action, the file is specified directly in the video, but instead navigate to the desired folder and then choose dynamic and select name. For myself, I specified name followed by .docx

Is there a way to create a Case Management Tracker with multiple attachments and one approval. For example: analyst creates case #123 with multiple attachments and manager reviews and approves the entire case. Then the case is displayed permanently with details on analyst name, approver name, date/times, attachments, etc?

Thank you for this. I'm working on an employee record chang from using From + Flow. But since it some times contain sensitive employee detail, intead of showing all detail in the emial body, is there any way I can attach each individual form response as an attachment to the email?

Thanks guys, just one doubt, while using the "everyone must respond", out of the 4 approvers, what if 1 guy rejected the document as the approver had some feedback? Does it break the whole flow?

Is the column "status" a hidden default column or a custom column?

Hi, love this would be nice if we could have one that actually does two more steps, one to checkout the document to apply Vision control for the person doing the revision and also convert to PDF. If you already have something like that please give me a link LOVE YOUR CHANNEL

Hi Jon I am working on a project in my organisation. I am stuck with a situation and hope you can really help me with that. Situation is How to get the data of an excel sheet attached on an email and then add the data to an Central Excel sheet on a SharePoint. If you can help me with that it will be really helpful

But the document didn’t show as status approved or have the approval comments that were added at point of approval. Shame I thought I’d found what I needed.

I might be reading it wrong, but it looks like that info has been set to update the Documents folder [8:33], which is kind of redundant because the file will no longer exist there as it's routed to Approval Requests when the flow runs, so it should be updating file properties in the Approval Requests folder instead.
