Another great lesson. Looks like you are using a thumb pick. Would a regular pick work here, or do I need a thumb pick?

Not one of my favorite examples of a great solo, but it does display quite well how much guitar players have advanced, and how much more sophisticated their knowledge is of the instrument today. I would like to gain a better instinct for when to bend notes, as well as when to use hammer ons or pull offs vs playing the actual notes themselves. Is this just a matter of time and experience?
