This is one of the very best guitar lessons on all of KZbin (pace, balance of detail vs theory, presentation style, playing level explanation not overly basic or too advanced, production value, etc.), and certainly the best Sweet Home Alabama - best 18 minute lesson out there (at $50 per hour or more for a live lesson, this would have taken 3-4 lessons worth of time to learn - posted free!). Thanks John - happy subscriber!

The most complete and in-depth lesson I've seen for this song, without getting *stupidly* detailed. Just the gist of it, yet also showing each *important* riff that makes the song so recognizeable. Now if I were only good enough to actually *play* it like this! 😂 I'd love to see a play-along video.

Thanks for that thorough breakdown! I've been trying to nail down that fast lick at G (in the intro part) for a long time so this is very helpful. 🎸🎸👍🏻

At 5:57 you are bending the G string at the 5th fret up a step. On my acoustic I am not able to bend up a step. Is this typical on an acoustic or does it mean I need new strings or something? By the way, this is a great video!

Your playing that first riff wrong Ed King rolls off the b flat to b to start he wrote it so I would go watch Ed's version to. Play it correct.

At what time in the video are you referring to? Thanks

@@edfeten4724 At 3:24 in video it is not open A Ed rolls off the B flat or the first fret on the A string . To start the riff and every where else in the song where the riff is played.

And again another tutorial of playing the song wrong. Ed King shows how to play his song right when everyone does the run wrong between the chords. Other than that great video.
