It's so refreshing seeing someone just enjoying themselves jamming out. So many guys in this field are so up tight and seem like they're in pain or just a robot making production videos. I grew up making beats on my uncles piano when i was like 10 and had no clue what i was doing. He ended up helping me because he thought I was good enough to water my seed. I tried to return to beat making using software but I found it really annoying and felt like i wasn’t actually playing the music which was my personal favorite part. This has reignited that spark for production and while I’m in a band and working quite a bit i know I’ll have to make time for something like this. Thanks for the inspo you rock man

There’s so many free resources on KZbin for music production but tbh most people making tutorials are making really generic stuff, which is helpful but not very inspiring. I had an Octatrack when it first came out. There was almost no documentation, no KZbin tutorials, and the manual was a hot mess. I sold it shortly after because I couldn't wrap my brain around it. After owning an Analog Rytm Mk2 for a bit, I've been more inclined to try my hand at an OT again. This video is definitely swaying me towards getting one. 😂
@jonmakesbeats Жыл бұрын
That's a great compliment and I appreciate you saying that. I bought my first OT in 2015 so there was some stuff out but very little in regards to hip hop....to be fair it's still a little trim on that. But I'm glad this inspired you to try one again.
@BoomBang101 Жыл бұрын
which one is better?
@destroy_television Жыл бұрын
@BoomBang They're two totally different machines that fill entirely different roles. As a dedicated drum machine, Rytm is probably the best you can get on the market. If you've never played with an Elektron at all, I would personally not advise getting an OT. It is essentially a DAW in a box and it can be incredibly complicated and overwhelming to take on if you dont know the Elektron infrastructure. But, if you have the willpower to get through the steep learning curve, it's a massive powerhouse.
@BoomBang101 Жыл бұрын
@@destroy_television thank you. I was researching and found out about their Analog Four MKII. what is this exactly?
@destroy_television Жыл бұрын
Analog Four is a 4 voice monophonic/polyphonic synth. It's a very capable piece of equipment like any other piece of Elektron gear. True Cuckoo has a lot of great deep dive videos on a lot of these machines. Worth watching them if you're interested in Elektron gear. His videos are a very great starting point when you first buy an Elektron piece. I would watch a bunch of videos on Elektron as they all have a bit of a learning curve but really great machines once you wrap your head around the workflow.
