Jonny Quest, Hadji, Bandit, Dr. Quest and Race Bannon return for an all-new suite of super-adventures in this originally syndicated sequel series from the heyday of the awesome animation age. In this 13-Episode go round, plucky pre-teen tomboy Jessie Bradshaw breaks into the band of bros along with a new stoneman ally, Hardrock. The Quest plane gets a too-cool makeover as well, now capable of splitting off a high-speed shuttle for one-man missions. But the more things change... the more Jonny and company still square off against weird menaces from the very edge of science! In the episode "Rock of Rages" of the 90s show when Dr. Quest says "Not a moment too soon!" it's Don Messick's voice because they forgot to overdub it with John de Lancie when Messick left before the show aired.

No way! Hanna-Barbera's biggest mistake with their 80s revival of "JONNY QUEST" was not hiring and using Doug Wildey, the man who created the characters and his amazing artwork and animation which he later used at DePatie-Freleng Enterprises in Fall 1975 for "RETURN TO THE PLANET OF THE APES". in the 1980s, Hanna-Barbera and their sister studio Ruby-Spears made most of their animation overseas, and the 1985 remake of "JONNY QUEST" was no exception to this unfortunate rule! then Hanna-Barbera & Cartoon Network made the 1996 "THE REAL ADVENTURES OF JONNY QUEST" series, and that fared no better than this version! the original 1964 Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, which was produced for Primetime on ABC-TV through Screen Gems is still the superior!

I believe the scripts for some of the episodes in the 80's version was written with the 1960's series. Problem is both in animation and Jonny's voice acting.
