Nice to see you work a fendt, I run all rigs across the fendt range. 5, 6, 7, 8, 900’s and a couple 1038/1050’s. you have such a positive outlook on farming and I have thought about you and watched your videos when I’m out in the middle of nowhere. Take it easy mate!

Well jonny... A 1000 years ago in 1995-96,,,,,, i used to work not far from your farm... Maybe From your 1st upload ive been watching! Over the time you have mentioned some landmarks around so decided to look up your farm name and what the heck i reconise that area???. I was at the Walter, Sutton Grange Farm just out of Lound. Good times for me. Awsum people in the village...... The people I met, the land I worked and the very professional farmers in that area, i reflect on often and have left a solid impression in my day to day work ethic. Im sorry to hear about your Dad. Im just at the set in with dementia with my old boy, so time to take some concrete pills! That experience all those years ago lead me to a job in hybrid vegetable seed company in mid Canterbury in New Zealand as a Agronomist now. 20yrs now. You live in the ver best part of the UK!!! Very Kindest Regards Phil.

its bloody great to see you back jonny, I truly love your videos, and I hope you and you family are getting through this devastating time and I truly know what your going through, my Dad died suddenly without warning 8 years ago, and not a single day goes by where I dont think of him. I hope your ok dude M@x

That must have been awful for you max. I’m so sorry to hear that! This has been a very long drawn out illness so it wasn’t a surprise, I knew it would happen it was just a matter of when. So I can’t imagine how hard that must of been to loose your dad without any warning at all.

Thank you for your kind words jonny that means a lot to me more so with what your going through, it was a very hard time, for months I kept expecting him to call me, or pop in to see his grandchildren, it took a while to sink it, more so for my mother her whole world fell apart. Love the videos cant wait for the next m6 your doing great M@x

Fantastic to have you back proper, Johnny! Very informative video, should I ever find myself having to use the GPS of a 500hp Fendt XD ! Anyway, all the best and here's to another ELEVEN (not 10 anymore!) thousand subscribers!

You never know! If there is ever a zombie invasion and you end up in a fendt 1050 and have to plot a course using GPS through a hoard of zombies.... You’l know exactly what to do!! Lol 😂

@Jonny13886 жыл бұрын
Greenstar is very good, I think it’s one of the best GPS systems out there, but don’t tell anybody lol The fendt system is really very good, simple to use and very accurate. With some nice little features to make life less complicated:)

Jonny, I admire your work. Doing videos well AND actually getting some work done as well is not easy! Typically one or the other suffers immensely! My question to you if you have a moment, is when you setup an implement in GPS for work that day. How much overlap do you typically set in so that you cover everything and dont miss small slivers? Thank you and keep the videos coming!
@anthonynichols50536 жыл бұрын
You should do bonus things at the end of all your videos that was funny or bloopers lol

Nice one jonny but I'm not sure about you biscuit choice though! Plus I'm still not sure how you keep your cab so clean! If you get bored you can come clean mine! 😂👍
@Jonny13886 жыл бұрын
Not sure of my biscuit choice!! What other biscuit can be the indestructible oat’y goodness of a hob nob!?? Lol I clean it out everyday without fail, last thing at night the whole cab gets dusted and polished. I use kitchen floor wipes and caustic TFR in a spray bottle to get rid of any stains or marks. :)
@casto-6 жыл бұрын
I reckon the simple pleasure of milk chocolate covered biscuit such as a milk chocolate digestive with a proper cup of Yorkshire tea can not be beaten 😂. Oh heck, if you clean your cab like that then you don't wanna sit in my trac cab, wipe your feet on the way out type job! 😕😂.

Nice video!! Dont you ever use the border in the Fields? Is it possible to use the border as A-B and contour? So if your take one lap around the field with the correct setting of tool and using the border function. Which wayline should you use to be able to autosteer the second lap?
@Jonny13886 жыл бұрын
Yes, I can use that function on my case it has a headland mapping setting. Which I will have to use when I get GPS section control on my drill. Though I personally like to put a separate wayline for each side of the field, I’ve always found it to be more accurate that way :)
@trevorjarvis30216 жыл бұрын
Way too technical for an old fogie like me! I think modern tractor driving should be left to you “younger” chaps! I’ll stick to my vintage tractors!! Great video as always Jonny - watch those chocolate Hob Nobs don’t put too much weight on. Ha ha.
@Jonny13886 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you’d pick it up Trevor! My fordson major is harder to drive than the fendt! Lol Too late on the putting on weight front...I’ve double in size in the last few years :)

Not as terrifying complicated as i was led to believe the Fendt software thats pretty strait forward and not to different to other manufactures. interesting video Mr hob nob , i have a thing for jaffa cake's like wise and now i am feeling hungry lol.
@Jonny13886 жыл бұрын
Hiya mark! If I can use it, it can’t be complicated! The old saying “I can’t read or write but I can drive a combine harvester” Should be changed to “I can’t read or write but I can drive a fendt” lol Ohhhhh I love Jaffa cakes! We’re do you stand on the argument, are they a biscuit or a cake? Lol
@cibie016 жыл бұрын
Never really thought about it to be honest Jonny, but i would have to go with being a cake more than a biscuit but then again i am not fussed as long as i can eat them lol.
@shelleyharris68495 жыл бұрын
My chap wants change the machines we have in the business but keep the Fendt 1050. What do you suggest selling all our Tractors back to the dealership because the oldest is 2 years old or sell private? We have 7 Massey at moment but which would you suggest it's between Deutz, Case and Fendt? Hope you don't think being big headed because we're not like that. Were not gonna do it for couple years by negotiation with dealerships can last long time lol?
@nickhill2586 жыл бұрын
Nice one Jonny will we need tractor jockeys in the future
@Jonny13886 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure, the technology exists for driverless tractors now. The tractor driving is the easy part, it’s knowing how to use it that is the problem. With conditions/soil types and all other manner of things dictating how you go about doing your job. There’s a lot of skill only learnt by experience and I’ll be interested to see how they could over come this with a computer. :)

is the gps system on the cvx the AFS one, that you can get from the factory?
@Jonny13886 жыл бұрын
No, we did have the AFS gps running through the PRO700 screen but it wasn’t quite what we wanted. It couldn’t send and receive data from the farm office. We’ve got the CNH Trimble XCM2050 screens in the case tractors on roaming SIM cards. All running on RTK :)
