This song goes so damn hard when you actually listen to it during the final stage of the game, where you have one chance to finish first on a course set at 11:45PM on the last day of 1999. It's a six lap race and once you start driving the final lap, fireworks start blasting off in the air as the billboards start reading "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" It genuinely makes you feel like it's the most important moment of your entire life.

Oh wow I've never heard of this game or song but that opening... I've been listening to this channel for well over half a decade and that is legitimately the greatest opening to any cover you've ever produced in my opinion. Wow. Obviously that's a testament to your own skill more than anything but man if this song is 25% as good as your cover of it I could reasonably call it one of the sleeper hits of its generation. This game breathes passion, everything was so carefully designed while pushing the old PS1 to its' limits. R4's soundtrack never gets old ♥️ and Reiko also had her best design for this game. Her current design isn't as pretty as she was in 1998. No way a remaster like Namco have been pulling out with Klonoa and Pac-Man would make the original justice. Both aforementioned games deserved a better treatment in those remasters. And this is the BEST cover for this song I've ever heard 💯 Viva Team Mappy!! ♥️

For those that never, *ever* checked the soundtrack from this franchise, I encourage to do it, *right after this.* Rage Racer was my introduction, and there's nothing but great music of several genres. Back in the day, I preferred Rage Racer's soundtrack to R4's. Coming back to them now, while I still like the Rage Racer music, I realized that R4's style was a bold step in a new direction, completely different than any of the music previously made for the series. Despite being so ambitious, it also expresses a confidence--the composers didn't play it safe by half-stepping into the new style, they went all the way and in some songs, such as Move Me, they went even farther. Oh right--the cover! This was one of my favorite songs from the soundtrack and hearing GaMetal's interpretation is great, especially that guitar solo. More, please!

This is a strong contender for the chillest GaMetal remix, theme of laura is still up there, but this is definitely close, very nice job Jonny. I know that we're in full ballot period, but may I suggest you something from guilty gear or megaman X? These are games you already cobered but have so many good themes that I can't seem to have enough, I'd love for example a remix of Mirror of the world (an instrumental version would be awesome) for GG or Sting Chameleon for Megaman. My favorite racing game of all time. Still have fond memories of playing PRC in the Grand Prix with the Terrazzi cars. I get chills every time I do well enough in the series to get the letter from Reiko Nagase saying she's rooting for me... makes me not want to let her down at all.
