@@McQuokka Actually, charitable contributions of the wealthy are more responsible than wasteful government spending and waste. Unlike the government which is replete with corruption and waste, charities have higher accountability and the money more directly reaches the people its charitable purpose serve.
@McQuokka4 жыл бұрын
Bo Sandulescu ...you're a moron and understand very little about monetary policies. The income generated by people like the Olssons per year could be somewhere around $10-20m. If tax was collected they would have paid half of that over a period of almost 20 years (since Olsson moved to Monaco). Even you can do that sum. The "charitable donations" over the years probably don't even account for 1-2% in real terms of what they should be contributing in taxation. Governments and their respective polices are elected by the people, for the people. That is why you have a vote. If you don't like what they are doing with your tax money, then you vote with your cross in a box and elect someone that will do better. Is it perfect? No. Does any government do exactly what YOU want them to? No. But that is all part of living under the protection of western democracy and the benefits it provides. You see not all folks have your point of view or your interests. However, everyone does get a vote. To shamelessly accumulate wealth without taxation and still suck off the environment, facilities and protections that those countries provide is immoral and should be met with the full weight of the law. Unfortunately people like the Olssons skirt around the legal loopholes that exist to maximize their wealth but also choose to live a nomadic existence to effectively evade taxation. Is it illegal? Yeah, in a way. Can it be proven though? It could be in Spain, for example, where they have brazenly used the Spanish law loophole of 183 days per years starting and ending in calendar years (along with the quite ridiculous law of Monaco that only requires them to be there ninety days minimum per year). If the Spanish authorities came knocking though, they could very easily prove that the Olssons have been effectively living in Marbella last year. But the Olssons weigh the risks with the chance that the authorizes would not do that because they want the expats there for business and income chains for the locals. Why else do you think they have built 2 houses in other countries but only rent an apartment in Monaco ? Whether governments do the thing YOU want them to with you tax money or not is irrelevant. You live, you earn, you accumulate and you must pay tax because you effectively give back to the society in which you live. This is to allow the less fortunate in that society to get help and benefit from social systems that prevent society from crumbling apart and descending into anarchy and chaos because perhaps they did not get the foot up in life that you did. Its called democracy and its is also called compassion for your fellow human being. It will be interesting if this depravation continues due to Covid 19 though. In desperate times folks tend to take desperate measures. If the rate of infection starts to eat into authorities and security forces, it will sure be clear soon enough that in a crisis money does not allow you to survive any longer than anyone else. Wealth will not protect you if the wolves come...remember if you are one of the rich that have evaded taxation that people will know that their are shortages of medical supplies and life-saving equipment specifically because you choose to not contribute to that system and instead moved that burden to someone else, hence increasing tax brackets across your society and also effectively narrowing profit margins hence the reason the majority of the western world now live paycheck to paycheck. The wolves will not forget that. You will be torn limb from limb if you are one of the tax evading wealthy. Your days and avenues are closing in right now...

Very inspiring Jon and Janni and family, I love how authentic you all are. No pretence, just family bonding and genuine time spent together in a relaxing atmosphere, there may not have been snow but it’s the people that are with you that make a great Christmas. That view from the balcony with Africa in the background at the end of the vlog, like Benni would say, “wow, wow, wow.” Simple amazing. I got my Scarlett Red Snowboard Db for Christmas, thanks so much for taking pride in your work and company, it shows in the details of the product, it’s not just something that looks cool, it also does that, the Db Brand makes my life so much easier and it’s part of my family now too. Thanks for sharing your family with our families Jon and Janni, every time I watch the new vlog posts it’s like I’m watching my own family when I was a kid, and the hard work you all do every day is humbling, and every Christmas you always let everyone know how much you’ve worked to get there and you had to build your life and success, raking blueberries to pay for skiing, to start building your life when you and your brother only had 1 ski each...now that’s why I watch your vlogs, it’s not all about nice cars and boats and vacations (those are still nice to see), but it’s about the people who you surround yourselves with and the relationships you make with everyone you know...family, friends, vlogers, business partners or otherwise, it’s the passion you have for your family and your friends and your work that make us keep watching your story, keep up the great work and Merry Christmas to both the Olsson and Deler families ☃️🍛🎿🏂🏄♂️🛥🎁🎉

Isn‘t it paradox that Jon olsson‘s best vlog was one of the first ones that he filmed after having his first born child. You gifted your family great gifts and that made me very happy for you since thats one of the deepest fulfillings in life - to give joy to people. I was happy for you man, especially because I have the sense that you would never have imagined that life would have one of its, probably upon until now, highest peaks exactly now. It all comes back to connecting the dots. Everything that happens in life happens for a reason and it is great that you bless us with this clarity. Watching your vlog I can see how the dots are connected in other peoples life, that makes me more open for all my personal challenges and chapters in life. Thank you.
