Just a few tips for surfing if you do another video in the future - the faster you flick the more speed you lose. Whenever you look towards the left or right in the air, you have to strafe the same way (hold A while moving mouse left and D while moving mouse right). And you have to try to land as smoothly as possible on the ramp to keep momentum going. Also to gain some speed, bhop around on the platform before you jump to the ramp, can be really helpful.

Also lower your sense for a smoother feel, having a high sense will make everything choppy. Hope that helps 🥂

I have about 5000 hours in cs, and if I had to guess probably 2000 of them are surfing. Love seeing it come back, I haven’t tried it since cs2 came out. Love the video!

I really love this idea John. It might be preference but the cases after each death was a little distracting. A half time after x amount of deaths then back into the run just space them out.

Hey Jon. I'm gonna just be real (I love your content and have been subscribed for a long time). I think this gambling stuff needs to be put on the back burner. Every video is case this, case that. At what point does it change from a hobby to an addiction. I would honestly love to watch you play some games more. Even some more RL. It's a little sad that the reason you stopped playing was because of cases and trading. What about the game itself? This content doesn't even feel like it fits under the category "gaming" anymore. It just feels like it's all about the money. I don't know man, just my honest opinion. I know many will disagree with me, but that's just how I'm feeling. As always, much love Jon. This comes from a good place I promise, and I obviously don't speak for everyone. 💛

I agree with you on this but I think a lot of the money he uses to gamble is from sponsors. Jon seems like a really genuine person so it's hard to tell whether he really loves the dopamine rush of gambling or if he's just playing into the role he's created for himself over the years. He's got a wife and a kid so I hope they aren't affected. I second the more rocket league content, or other games. All love Jon!

Other than a lot of this being paid by sponsors you need to remember this is an expense as part of his “business”. He is essentially a business owner, and they need to buy products to make money and this essentially is the same with entertainment. He is in a place where he wants to and can do what he enjoys while making the money to support his family. But it is about chasing the views and for what works for him. He any multiple channels that he does a multiple of variety with, he has his twitch channel, he has his merch. Let the men do what he enjoys and if it is working for him that’s awesome.

Hey appreciate the comment A TON! It's funny you say this because I have a Marvel Rivals video coming out this week just to try other games on here to see if people are interested. You have to remember that this channel was a Rocket League channel that I have formed into playing CS. Most of the community really enjoys the case opening side of things (based on views) so that is why the content mainly is that. On my Twitch you can catch me playing a PLETHORA of games, on Jonsandman plays that was ALL VARIETY until recently it became my Pokemon channel. The "hobby" of opening cases is too expensive to just do so luckily the sponsors I have make it so I am able to keep recording these vids! If you see by many of these videos I am trying to get gameplay in with openings but it is VERY tough. I will keep trying until I find something that works! I can promise you, when I stop liking something, I stop doing it, as you saw with Rocket League. Rocket League is no longer fun to me at all, so while other channels thrive and do well I will get this channel back where I know it can be with trial and error! Thank you so much for the comment!

I really appreciate your reply to this, and I’m sorry if it came across as aggressive. I definitely see you pushing other games on stream and your second channel, which is great! I quite often tune into f**ked up Friday which is always a good time! 😅 I totally understand you trying to find what works. It can always be hard branching out and expecting the same support, I know that all too well.. 😅 We all appreciate the effort you put into your content. I hope this didn’t discourage you to continue creating this type of content. Adding surfing into it was a great idea and I would love to see more of this type of video where the case openings are a small part of it. I’m looking forward to seeing what other ideas you come up with! 😊

I've spent like 2k hours on surf and 1v1 servers back in csgo, god was it good. Come home from school, yt in the background, the servers i played on had skinchangers on so you could play with any combo you wanted, good times. Bring me back :(
