Nice job, but u need to sharpen up your attention ! :-) Ok...I have done some mistakes too. Looking awesome and those saws...I belive in and they are super durable and strong and reliable. Some say the 621 is the best ever maid. :-)

I just picked up one of these saws... what did you do to prep and restore the top cover?

The top cover is made of magnesium. Degrease, grind the white oxidation layer (MgO), take waterproof abrasive paper 280 for working, Dupli Color spray "Corrosion protection primer" and Dupli Color silver RAL 9006. Case was Dupli Color traffic red RAL 3020.
