Stephen J. Cannell, one of television's most prolific writers and series creators, whose work encompassed the “The Rockford Files” and “Wiseguy” to “The A-Team” and “The Greatest American Hero,” died Thursday at his home in Pasadena, Calif. He was 69. The cause was complications from melanoma, his family said.

Cannell Entertainment is a subsidiary of ABC Signature, a division of the Walt Disney Company. Founded in 1975 by an Emmy winning TV actor, writer, producer and novelist: Stephen J. Cannell. Its first show under the banner was the Emmy nominated TV mini-series "Black Sheep Squadron" (1976-1978). Besides being a TV showrunner, the late Stephen J. Cannell was also a best-selling mystery novelist. A total of 11 novels featuring his fictional LAPD detective Shane Scully were published between 2001 and 2011.

Though out the years of the logo where Stephen J. Cannel is typing on his typewriter you see that he won some awards though out the years that he has been producing the shows that he has done. Also the logo that was used on the show he last produced and then it was seen on The A-Team movie in 2010 the year that he passed away and also he appeared on Castle as himself then they payed tribute to him by using the logo that was used when he was older then instead of the paper folding to make the C it floated away
