Beginning with the Blu-ray/DVD release of "Bumblebee", Paramount Home Media Distribution has stopped using the High Definition (for Blu-ray releases) and DVD (for DVD releases) logos and replaced them with the standard Paramount Pictures logo. As a result, PHMD reverted its name to Paramount Home Entertainment in May 2019.

Fun Fact: The Paramount Feature Presentation logo (Viacom Variant) can be seen on the 1995 VHS of Snoopy the Musical (1988).

I just noticed, they used the Jeopardy font for the legal text in the Feature Presentation logos. The blue background in the 75th anniversary variant gave it away. Made it look like a screencap from the game show.

I'm not entirely sure if that IS ITC Korinna (aka the Jeopardy Clue font), but it certainly looks like that. Fun fact--this font is the Ghostbusters credits font. Took me ages to find the name. There are two: Korina and Benguiat, both designed by Ed Benguiat in the 70s.

I'm pretty sure this division of Paramount is still alive, considering they changed their name back to Paramount Home Entertainment in May 2019.

Why did they not make a Paramount DVD logo when they brought out the current logo?

If I do have my thoughts on the "Cheesy Mountain" from 1979, then my opinion is that the Scanimation in the logo is cheesy, and the stars of the Paramount logo look more like circles or glowing flares. You could see that the *HOME VIDEO* text below the logo is stacked on the Paramount Television Service logo. And lastly, you could see the ring appearing where the stars stop zooming in. Despite these issues, I like it (but I prefer the 1981 Paramount Video logo over the 1979 logo). However, you're not here to hear my thoughts on the 1979 logo, you're here to hear my opinion on the 1989 logo (one of the most infamous in the history of Paramount Home Entertainment). I do not seem to get scared of that logo, I think the logo is great. However, the reason why the Feature Presentation logo has been considered creepy for some people is because of the *FEATURE PRESENTATION* text zooming in at the end before cutting to the warning screen. However, it's not as creepy as the infamous Viacom "V of Doom" logo from 1976 and the VID mask ident from 1990.

*I DON'T THINK IT BEGAN IN 1976 BECAUSE THE FIRST COMPANY TO RELEASE THINGS TO HOME VIDEO WAS ''MAGNETIC VIDEO CORPORATION'', FOR WHICH THEY BEGAN DOING THAT IN LATE 1977!*

It actually began in 1978/1979 (some sources claim late 1975).

*1975? SONY JUST INVENTED THE BETAMAX TAPE IN THAT YEAR~ AND ALL VIDEOTAPES (both Betamax and VHS) BETWEEN 1975 AND 1977 ARE ALL BLANK TAPES: I ORIGINALY LEARNT IT WAS FROM 1978, SO I WILL GO WITH THAT BECAUSE ''MEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT'' WAS ALSO STARTING AROUND THAT TIME!*
