i have to speak out if no one is gonna. i'm tired of seeing these amazing artists in korea committing suicide. no one is gonna speak up about how korea treats their artists to the point of death. Is no one gonna speak up about how they treat their idols/actors/models its not normal to have a high suicide rate its not normal for countless famous figures to commit suicide it's not normal. They're all people screaming for help. The way they are treated as objects instead of people in Korea needs to stop...

i agree. their system in general is fucked up but i can't say that it's just the system. unconsciously it's in their culture. while watching so many drama's ive seen how close minded their culture is and how much their people have to stick to a certain standard and cant stray away from that. there aren't that much Korean people who are open minded not unless they've lived outside korea like the ones i personally know. i guess this hurts the celebrities in korea most because they're every move is focused on and in reality, there's really nothing else we can do other than support them and show them that there will still be people for them even if they come out of their country's standard.

Not just the famous ones, but others too. The education is too strict and too much for a kid/teen to handle. The elders are often left alone, with no one to love or take care of them. Korea is close minded, you have to be like that, you need to be like this, you need to be perfect. This puts a lot of pressure on people, especially teens and young adults. Many have spoken up but their voices weren't loud enough.

Jang Yoo-Sang, the actor that plays Choi Ho-Dol, has played several LGBT+ characters which is incredibly brave of him considering how South Korea isn't the most LGBT+ friendly country. I honestly applaud him because he's doing something that this society needs. He's a great actor, too, I loved how expressive he was in Love With Flaws. Cha In-Ha is also amazing. I'm so sad that he's gone and that we won't have a chance of a spinoff series with the original actors. The only thing I get when I search anything about him is articles about his death which is sad because I think we should honour the dead for what they did and who they were, not just remember their death. Cha In-Ha deserves to be recognized as more than just a dead actor...

I remember years ago ... I did not see any LGBTQ+ representation in Kdramas and honestly it's so beautiful to see something like this now. I know that they are only side characters but I know one day they will be main characters. I can see how Korea is becoming more accepting. But sadly suicide is still very much alive. I lost 3 idols who I couldn't have ever imagined to live without and everytime I watch this drama .. I just cant believe he is gone. I just wished that I could have been able to tell Cha In-ha how amazing he was and that his acting never failed to make me smile and surprise me. I hope that anyone who is suffering knows that they are not alone no matter how hard it gets 💗

I agree. I know a lot of BL webtoons/comics that have amazing storylines and potential to become popular worldwide if turned into a drama. If only Korea is more open towards LGBTQ+ and have these BL storylines turned into full on 30-45min dramas and not just short web dramas, their economy, like you said, will skyrocket. I really hope more LGBTQ+ Kdramas will come out in the future. And that they won't just be short web dramas because in web dramas it feels lacking and rushed because they're trying to fit a whole story by chopping it up to twelve, 10-15min (or shorter) eps. Take 'Color Rush' for example, the plot was so interesting and had so much potential but to me it felt rushed. It felt like there were parts of the(ir) story missing or was cutout due to time.
