She seems like an Astraea with a more rounded, sustainable kit and a different damage niche. It puts her in a good spot where she’s obviously very good but not so overwhelming in her niche where no one else can compete. Plus her animations are some of the best in the game with her extras basically being NPs in their own right.

As a card-carrying Kagetora enjoyer, I couldn't be happier with this development. She looks badass or cute, depending on the Ascension, and she's a damn good bosskiller with bonkers refunds. And those animations, especially the NP...*chef's kiss*.

She seems really cool. Kagetora on NA is already my main ST Lancer most of the time (unless I have to go overkill with Melusine) and I'm happy to see a full gacha version of herm also that 2nd ascension is really hot sheesh

4:26 So, I went to Gamepress to compare her stats to other Rulers. She ties with Ruler Melusine for highest atk stat on a Ruler.

#2 is best Ascension, and I really like the way they did her hair; it's long, and she's got the side bangs. Big ponytails have grown on me, but this is definitely not the best. Lartoria Summer and Skadi both have better by far.

After I read the event story, i have grown to like most people featured in the event(except for that one guy). Her, Takeda and Shinpachi are definitely the star of the event but I think I will skip and settle for lancer Kagetora. I'm very broke😢( as I have spend a bit on Shinpachi

still going for NP5 Summer Castoria. She is my favorite even outside of gameplay and the best written character in FGO imo. Summer Castoria is already pretty decent ST Arts as well, but i feel like Kagetero is better gameplay wise.

They have a 1.1x modifier like Avengers and Berserkers But they also get archer level star absorb unlike those two and take half damage from a majority of enemies. The communities conclusion: class sucks as an attacker.

@@adrastos8401 I do think the class sucks as an attacker, yes. I don't think the 1.1x modifier really matters when you aren't going to be hitting anything for class advantage because of how rare moon cancers are, and I'm not counting against berserkers because that's a freebie. Rulers also do not have archer level absorb, I don't know where you got that from (maybe mixing em up with foreigners?). Half damage from most things is also cool and all but I don't find it to be the most relevant since you should be trying to completely block any meaningful amounts of incoming damage anyways. This is especially true for an arts attacker since arts supports are by far the best ones for keeping servants alive.

@@alb7466 oh your right, still 100 base absorb is a lot better than berserkers/avengers Avengers never hit anything for class advantage either and you said worst, which implies worse than Casters (who arguably lose in damage even class advantage vs neutral) and Avengers, Mooncancers, Foreigners (which have the same problems and not even close to the same number of the advantages)

@@adrastos8401 Avengers don't hit much for class advantage too correct, and I don't find them to be fantastic either, but there are two main aspects that put em over rulers for me; Avengers generally have high attack stats so the multiplier gets put to a bit better use, and fighting rulers is far more common than fighting moon cancers. I would not consider any of the 7 main classes to be the worst attacking class because of the ease at which they can use their offensive class advantage. Moon cancers aren't great attackers either, but again using one against an avenger is far more likely than using a ruler against a moon cancer. And it may seem a bit hypocritical since I mentioned that I don't find the defensive qualities of ruler very useful, but foreigners at least had the unique quality of resisting berserkers up until draco came out, which I think counts for something. Rulers resisting many classes is nice, but resisting any one of them is not a unique trait like it used to be for foreigners, which I don't think is a great class either since the aforementioned draco gained the thing that made them special and then some.

​​@@alb7466Its pretty sad when we have the same number of pretenders as moon cancers, with the next one awaiting release. Foreigner st dps have a lot more use cases than rulers, considering they have class advantage against zerks, pretenders and even among themselves
