I have never been able to understand how artistic painters see what they see and to understand colors, shading and angles to the degree it takes to create something so beautiful from what seems like nothing in the beginning. I’ve been amazed all my 73 years and have always been left speechless when everything comes together at the end to become what their eyes and minds visualize. Amazing is all I can say.

thats because, what they see is their own past experiences. im no professional, but teachers of painting all like to say the same idea: to develop comfort and not to expect every art piece to work out. painters walk their own personal journeys

It's about layers of colors then detailing it out..kind of like blury to visible

Actually and truelly , we just do it. The more you paint/draw/color the better your connection between your brain and hand becomes. Simple as that. To learn is to do and to do is to learn. Until then, it all seems like a great mystery.

when I watch your videos, it looks like it's easy to paint a picture, just repeat after you and that's it) but from the picture itself, when I draw, it's very difficult to work with light and shadow, I know that I still have something to work on, I paint pictures only a few years and have not trained professionally, but videos like yours make me understand that it is important not to stop and move forward, that everything will turn out just as easily with experience)

As an artist myself if I stand back and think about the process objectively, as Im able to do when watching another artist work, the thing that I think is most astounding is the ability to know and choose your colours upfront, people are so enamoured with the end result and execution but the real trick I think is the superhuman ability to fully understand he colour before even picking up the brushes

That is amazing...the window reflection of the candle and rain water behind the window gives this painting an amazing 3D effect and that is quite hard to distinguish from a real life photo to an actual painting.Bravo Bravo !!

Great artists actually see what is in front of them. Many of us look but do not see. Even just the layering itself required one to be highly introspective and directive. This is brilliant. Built my kids an easel but never tried it myself. This has inspired me to try. Kudos!

Excellence is an understatement. Very creative and it amazes me the way artists are able to paint it or draw it exactly as they see it in their mind. I can imagine a lovely scene for a painthing in my mind but it never looks like this lol

They often don't paint it exactly as they see it in their mind. They use references, and the piece evolves by itselff.
