My wife and I went to Bali over the summer. We felt like Bali was to over crowded. The traffic was insane. We went to 8 Asia countries. Bali was our least favorite. I can see someone in their 20's loving Bali.

I agree, Ubud is a great place to stay for a while, but the big thing I miss while there is the beaches. I use to rent long term and stay in Seminyak. That was from 2012-2020, then visit Ubud for a week or two. The vibe in Seminyak was different back then, it was ‘the place to be’ and Changgu had not developed yet. Kuta was the party place for tourists and had a ton of Aussies that use to stay there. How times had changed! I had not been to Bali since 2020 and it’s so nice to see the areas I use to walk/check out. I am wanting to visit Bali next winter but there are so many other places to travel to in that part of the world, like Thailand, Vietnam, etc. the world is my oyster! Lol. Thanks for showing updates, changes in Ubud. It brings back memories of a different time gone by.

Amazing showcase of Ubud. I just got back from Ubud and its been 7 years since I last visited. Its alot crowded then before (partly because I was there for Christmas) but the nature is still SO AMAZING. There's so much nature stuff to immerse yourself in than to purely shop, eat, party like other parts of Bali which I have been to many times.

It's not just a destination; it's a lifestyle seminar led by nature and culture. So, when you're in Ubud, don't just see the sights-feel the vibe, taste the colors, and listen to the flavors. I had to comment on this video to raise awareness about the cruelty involved with Kopi Luwak (civet 💩 coffee.) Civet sare omnivores, so they have a varied diet of insects, small animals and fruit etc. They would only occasionally/opportunistically eat coffee beans. The animals are either bred in captivity, or taken from the wild (sometimes caught with snares) and forced to live in tiny cages and fed NOTHING but coffee beans. They’re severely depressed (as you can see in the video.) Sometimes, when they’re near death, the farmers will release them to let them hunt and get proper nutrition again and then re-catch them when they’re in better health and put them through it all over again. Please don’t buy Kopi Luwak when you’re travelling in SEA.
