Nederlands is ook een moeilijke taal om te leren. Vooral onze spreekwoorden en gezegden zijn soms moeilijk te begrijpen. Ik omarm mensen die de moeite doen om de taal te leren op de plek waar ze gaan wonen en help ook altijd wanneer iemand er even niet uit komt. Als jij bijvoorbeeld al tot je nek in het werk zit en ze proberen nog een beetje meer op je bordje te leggen is het antwoord: Je kunt de rambam krijgen. Dit heeft meerdere mensen al succesvol geholpen. Het is prima Nederlands en hiermee geef jij aan dat je hard bezig bent de taal te leren. 👍🏻

First time I heard the song it was all about happy. Till I listened to it again. And again. And again. And again. Today it gave me goosebumps at the end. Joist lost his parents both at very young age. His dad ( papa in Dutch) told him live had no boundaries. Europe opened up their own boundaries long ago. Then the reference to Stromae’s papaoutai. I love how this song is so incredibly catchy and happy and you just have to move along in the rhytm of the music, only to get completely plottwisted when it gives you that heartbreaking moment in the end. This is the best reaction video I have seen about this song. I think you reacted exactly as they hoped when they made this song and clip. Joost's music is not my favourite genre, but this is something else. This is art, it has layers and a lot of easter eggs, I did not expected this much from an eurovision song. Thank you for your reaction. This is a masterpiece!!! This is the winner of Eurovision Songcontest 2024, for me. No doubt. Research: Europapa = Eurodad. 12 points for The Netherlands. An ode to his father who passed away when he was 12 years and his mother who passed away when he was 13 years. His father told him that there are no borders / boundaries, no limits. Go, travel and discover Europe and the world. He promised his father that one day he will be singing at the Eurovision. They used to watch it together when he was a child. Now he made it, because he will be on stage this year. Everywhere he travelled he carried the pain and grief with him. Best part about this song. You can have a full 3min sad song. You get used to it. He made it funny/party style untill the last 10/15 seconds. The kinda "alright let me take off my fake smile" since everyone has a mask nowadays. "Let's gets real for a few seconds before putting on a fake smile again" there for i think everyone is able relate without understanding the lyrics and why they get goosebumps/emotional.

To give your background behind the song. The song is basically a tribute to his father who passed away at a very young age (cancer). Sadly his mother passed away also at a very young age (cardiac arrest). So he became an orphan at aged 13. At the last part of the clip. He said my father told me it a world without boundaries. Meaning you can achieve everything if your work hard for it. The last phrase is referring to the quote I said before that he listened to him. It’s also a very special and emotional experience for himself because in his youth he watched Eurovision with his father. Also the song title Europapa - papa or pa is translated to Father/Dad in Dutch.
