I was serving at a wedding years ago, and was about to serve champagne from a tray to a table ~ when the guest nearest me leaned around and as he lifted his srm his elbow kicked up the bottom of the tray and sent 10 flutes of champagne crashing to the floor. I was mortified even though it was his fault. Always just let staff do their job
