Everyone falls Down because Bird would beat you with the shot, with the pass, with the pump fake, with the jab step. Magic said Larry was the only one he feared. Magic played against Jordan, Dominique, Hakeem Olajuwon, Moses Malone and Dr. J, Isaiah and the bad boy pistons, etc

Correct, the important is how to score a points!it is useless of you are very athletic but they do not make score a points, your athletic is useless, the basketball game, the important of that is how to score a points,period...

@@KalbroneognobpOgnobp But he outjumped Olajawon when they went up for the tip off, and he got a ton of rebounds-- he could jump when he needed to. He just knew it wasn't his strong point, so he arranged his game around what was. Also...seems to me athleticism isn't just running fast and jumping high, as great and exciting and useful as those abilities are. Athleticism, imho, also includes hand-eye coordination, ball handling in general, timing, IQ, a feel for when and how to pass and anticipation in general, and a whole lot of other skills that Bird had to da max...together with other elements such as leadership, ability to make his teammates better, insane toughness (watch 5 Times Larry Bird Was Injured and REFUSED to Quit, if you want to see some out of this world toughness) and a competitive spirit rivaling Jordan's and bordering on obsession, if not right over that line.

Larry Bird, G.O.A.T. Larry Bird didn't Win 3 Straight MVP and finished 2nd 4 times and finished 4th his Rookie Season. Plus, Larry Bird was telling the opponent what he was going to do with the ball 🏀 before the play. And don't put a white guy or a Rookie on Larry Bird, that's disrespectful to Larry Bird and he would tell the other Team. Is that the Best you got???? Larry Bird Larry LEGEND!!!!

birds pump fakes were not because of his quickness it was because they had to honor his outside shot and were always having to commit to defending his mid range and 3 pt shot. Larry was a 50/40 /90 shooter and you couldnt sleep on his fakes

Sorry fellas, this isn’t his ultimate mixtape. I mean it a good compilation of some the great plays he did of many great plays and any clips of how larry played the game to understand how far ahead he was of any other player in the nba is great to help any serious basketball player wanting to work hard to be the best player in all aspects of the game understand how Bird honed his skills to become one of the greatest to ever play the game especially if you seek all of the Larry bird videos by starting with his mixed tapes of his great plays like this one, but trust me, you really should find his actual compilation titled Larry bird ultimate mixtape. That video was put together, edited, and back to back clips of probably the most impressive and mind blowing plays that is probably one of the most consistent, and incredible plays from fakes to shots to making defense fall from his fakes to his brilliant passes and assists to some of his trash talking to a number of his most impressive clutch shots to his over the top hustles to his numerous severe injuries he roughed out and still played through extreme pain and still dominated to the rivalry with the lakers and manic that created a mu

Then of course the video of the stories of a large group of nba’s greatest players that played against Larry telling their stories of things he would do to them and or his trash talk that they experienced and all of them told the stories in a way that they are still telling their experience like it was recent. Like Larry traumatized them so greatly they are scarred, but at the same time they tell it like it was one of the greatest players that did some things that they were amazed at his skill in a way they have never witnessed from any of other great players in the history of basketball. Trust me, you won’t regret it, it is a great way to understand exactly why Bird is on the top of the list as the greatest player to ever play the game. The thing about the stories told by the opponents that had the opportunity to compete against him help you understand why he is overlooked by new fans of the game that didn’t get a chance to watch him play why he is left out of the conversation when talking about there greatest top ten players. If you watch all these videos you will understand why he should be in most peoples top 5. He just had the gift of seeing every part of way to play the game in the best complete way you possibly can from how he used his trash talking, to anticipating missed shot locations that he some how dominated in rebounds to his uncanny no look assists as if he had some paranormal ability to sense where his teammate was and bowing they were open without even looking and his consistent hustle to following through and backing up his trash talk and backed up his trash talking down to every single detail of what he would say he was going to do to his opponent down to the amount of time he would dribble the ball even and why he was feared and respected by the majority of the greats that played in his era just almost every facet of the game that some players didn’t even think about with especially how he trash talked that showed many players how to use trash talking as one of the best skills that drew amazement and respect of the large list of the greats that talks of their experiences in a way that they felt themselves that Larry was better than them and the best and toughest opponent they had ever competed against and possibly to ever play the game. I like to have got to see all the compilation videos of how Larry played the game. I guarantee that you will respect Larry the more you watch and end up higher and higher on your personal list of basketballs greatest. I was 11 years old when I watched bird play and I was a piston fan, so at the time of watching basketball, I knew he was a great player but because he was what stopped the pistons from getting to the playoffs numerous times so I hated him at that time and didn’t leave myself open to appreciate how good he really was until now that I’m matured and the piston/celtics rivalry is long over I have a new found respect of how he played his game but also his work ethic and commitment to reach his goal of becoming the greatest player or just to be the very best he could play the game. In my opinion, he became the greatest player in nba history to this day. I don’t think anyone has ever held a candle to play the game at the highest level and consistently every game. And doing all these things while suffering from extreme pain from severe injuries that should have been and just one of the one of his injuries he suffered with is career ending injuries to any other pro player and yet still played with same consistent intensity and still dominated the game and his competitors. If you watch the compilation videos of all his injuries he played through and still dominated the league really made up my mind as the greatest because he suffered from these injuries through the last half of his career which his broken back was ultimately why he ended his career earlier than he wanted of 13 years in th nba. I can’t even imagine what he would have been able to accomplish with no injuries and with a much longer career because of the mind blowing accomplishments and high level of skill he demonstrated in every game in that career. Some of the things from stories told that he did I can’t understand how impossible it seems for anyone to do what he did completely healthy. That’s why Jordan talks of Larry like he places Bird as being better than him. Jordan got to play against Larry for two seasons before he retired and both seasons the Celtics swept the bulls in playoffs both back to back years making Bird as the only great player he never beat. And you can start to see how Bird influenced Jordan to a point that I recognize how Jordan actually changed his game and incorporated some of birds skills he used against Jordan, like how bird mastered the mental warfare with how he used and executed his trash talking to throw people off there game. Bird is worth digging deeper with watching as many videos of the many things that made all the other competitor greats speak of anyone else as they do of Bird. There has been no one that has played the game the way he did. He played with that same consistent work ethic and consistency from high school to college to the pros. What he did in college was again something nobody else has ever came close to accomplishing. Not Jordan, lebron, Bryant or any one. When he basically by himself took a college team that was unranked prior to Larry joining the team at Indiana State and took that team to a record of 33 & 0 undefeated and destroyed and defeated every big ten school in the big tournament until he reached magic and the higher skilled Michigan state team and lost in the finals because they double teamed him intensively and Indiana state teams much lower level skilled teammates couldn’t com close to beating them. And there were many college teams at that time that had up to 3 talents on one team that Larry beat by himself and the 3 talents became known as greats in pros. That is something never seen before or after Bird. I’m telling you the more you find out about bird and watching him play will definitely change your perspective of where you place him as one of the greatest. I love watching reactions from younger basketball fans that were after his era and never seen or learned of his game and I like watching them discover that he is much greater and all around complete basketball player than they gave him credit for.
