At 0:56 where Jonathan nails the Kryptonian button you can see that Jordan is as bothered as Clark. Jordan's still new to the idea of what he is and that his brother could get sick and/or die like Clark's (Earth) parents or Lois, while he might never do so now, just like his father. Although Jonathan is still half-Kryptonian even without powers. I wonder what his medical history looks like and if he has ever had common Human diseases or if his biology isn't quite the same. I've wondered about this since S1E1 with Jordan's psych meds, and whether it was wise for Clark and Lois to be feeding him meds designed for Human neurochemistry when they knew he wasn't entirely Human even if the powers hadn't kicked in yet.

Just days after me turning 14, I found out my older brother had cancer. It was just skin cancer, two surgical operations, then he was cured. No other treatment was needed. We were unfairly lucky in how fast and well it went. But the simple fear of maybe, just maybe losing him was enough. Micheal Bishop truly got the pain and fear into this scene! Impressive! Beacuse before my brother got sick I had never thought I would loose him any time soon. But that made me wake up and realise life is short and that we need to appreciate it every single day.

My mom has lung 🫁 cancer. She still works though she is not too sick. Thank God. I am always praying 🙏 for her. This scene hit close to home.

Agreed. Especially since Superman gives preferential treatment when it comes to rescuing Lois from whatever deadly peril she's gotten herself into at any given moment. He's already "unfair" in that he does make choices about who he saves and who he doesn't every single day.

The argument is totally valid. U are idiots to think like that. Imagine yourself, would u let your loved one who's a human, risk taking a chance at getting cured by alien tech. There are almost full chances of death. Also if Clark chooses to use it, he is choosing to save Lois and not anyone else. If he exposes the tech to the world to save everyone there will be disastrous consequences like his identity in danger, tech in evil hands etc. Even with all these reasons, How do u idiots not understand drama 😑?

@@daniels7907 Isn't she being kind of selfish when it comes to being a mother? Her boys want her to be there when they graduate, get married and have kids. For her to not use the technology and survive to be there to see all those things seems kind of selfish as a mother. Any good parent is willing to do ANYTHING to survive and see those moments and the kids really want them there too.

@@savannahreed3186 - After this last episode I have given up trying to untangle the knots that the writers think are "morals". Clark literally chastised John for killing a superpowered guy, *who was kicking Clark's ass,* rather than allow himself to be beaten to death. Clark spoke his usual idiotic platitude about "always another way". Except when it comes to Lois's cancer, for whatever obscure reason. I'm starting to personally wonder if Zod is still in Clark's head and *wants* everyone around him to die off.

This episode really struck a cord with me since it hit so close to home. I was just about Jonathan's age when my own mother was afflicted with cancer and going through her treatments. Michael Bishop killed it in this episode with how he pretty much said all the feelings I had during that time in my life and it made the episode all the better and feel all too real. Seeing the woman who raised me get sick and be so weak all the time was heartwrenching for me, and as much as I tried to help out to make her home life easier, that didn't mean it didn't bother me with how much I wasn't able to do. At the end of the day I was just a teenage kid who really couldn't do anything for my mom's illness and seeing Jonathan's release of his frustration just gave me flashbacks to how scary that time in my life was and how I hated how powerless I was in that situation.

Hmmm! There's some point that in some instances, there's technology that can be different and perhaps dangerous. I'm reminded of 'Star Trek's Prime Directive. I lost my brother recently! I'm still somewhat traumatized by that - and it'll probably take several weeks or months for me to get over it! Possibly longer! It's understandable how Jordan and Jonathan are acting. I certainly can understand that! I've lost so many of my original family and I am the last of that part of it! Getting scared of this is natural. And I am that scared of that! But life goes on and so it must!

i mean cant they modify the lazer technology? so it dosent have to hit the outter skin but just have it target the stuff under the skin? i mean this tech was built for krytonians under a red sun, who ever basically just like humans only under the yellow sun does he gain powers, which orginally krytonians had no clue they would get under that color sun, otherwise ppl like zod would have just ditched the homeworld and set up somewhere with a yellow sun.
