If these young guys keep growing together this team could be a real contender in a year or two
@dentonjackson326711 ай бұрын
With the Viking's loss last night, Packers have a 84% (that includes two more losses) of securing the 6th seed and control their playoff spot at the moment. This year at least, Packers are Playoff Contenders and who knows where that goes? I'd never have picked 2010 Packers as a "contender" this point in that season but they put it together in the second half of that season, got hot and went on a Super Bowl run! I'm not saying they're as good as the top tier NFL teams, or even contend with a healthy 49ers team, but you just never know that's the fun part! Looking forward to the future as well!
@frossbog11 ай бұрын
This offense could be scary next year when you consider that his WRs and TEs are composed of 3 second year guys, 6 rookies and a 4th year dud. It's crazy that he has 19 TD passes with a group like that! He could easily have 32-35 TDs by the end of the year.
@Chde0011 ай бұрын
Id say by next year especially cause packers now have a general idea how this team is and what positions could be improved especially with how the cap is for next offseason we can go out and sign studs but that’s if the packers do which I believe they will since I know gute will do everything in his power to show why he chose love in the draft

Colt as a dude who was in the league, how much of a role do team QB coaches play in the development of a young qb? Rodgers loved Tom Clements, got him to come out of retirement and he stayed to continue working with JLove. I wonder how much of the mechanics can be attributed to him.

As a Packers fan, it's disheartening to see people calling for Love's head on a pike when the team doesn't win. Like it or not, having a mostly new, young team means being patient (aside from all the injuries sustained this year). Not that we have to like or accept any loss, but I think a lot of people forget Aaron was 6-10 his first full year. And the success of any team depends not only on the quarterback but everyone, including the coaches. People who cheer for Love when he wins but wants to dump him when he loses are no true fans, in my opinion. He shows a lot of promise and real Packers fans should wish him the best and not jump on the hater's pile so quickly. #GoPackGo

@freedom726511 ай бұрын
Yes, he’s doing well. However, he has plenty of room to grow. I’d really like to see him step into his throws more with more of a flick of his hip. Yes, sometimes that’s not possible when under pressure. But I see him throwing off of his back foot when NOT under pressure. And on some plays, his foot work looks a bit lazy. Maybe that’s a ‘style’ thing? In addition, I can’t stand it when QB’s tap the ball before throwing. He does this. And at times, defenders can get a step on and anticipate the throw because of it. Just my observations. Good video. Keep it up guys!

Exactly. Love can be good but to be great he has to fix significant flaws in his footwork. His hopping around leads to late throws an inevitably INTs.

(As a guy who's never played organized ball) whenever I'm watching him play I feel like he tries to throw almost every ball sidearm. With as much as he moves around and throws sidearm, it looks like he's trying to make every play a highlight reel which makes his job way harder than it needs to be. I'm a life-long packers fan so I really want him to be great but he's so sporadic. Am I just seeing things or is that his style?
@amarkk711 ай бұрын
I don't think you're off base. There are definitely some technique issues that he could clean up. One thing that J.T. O'Sullivan points out is that he needs to do a better job of squaring up his feet and shoulders toward the target and stepping into his throws. Basically, improving alignment and footwork.

Jordan love being called a franchise quarterback is as much as an overreaction as him being called a bust at this point of his career. He still has to finish out this year. If he loses the most of the upcoming games questioning him is valid. Do I think you draft a quarterback? I think too much has been invested for them to move on after the first year. Next year is very important not only for Jordan love but MLF crew, Brian gutekunst and mark Murphy (even tho he is retiring soon).
