I’m very happy to see that Jordan Love’s main problems are small inconsistencies that will improve with time, he’ll clean up that hitch and learn to drive the ball more consistently the more he plays, he showed he ain’t gonna roll over when shit gets tough and that’s a huge part of being a successful QB, thanks for the breakdown JT
@tomcollins5112
@tomcollins5112 Жыл бұрын
Nah, he's just inconsistent. This is his fourth year in the system, he shouldn't be making the mistakes that he's making at this point. There's a lot of natural ability there but he's still a sub-60% passer. You're saying that he'll "improve with time" and "learn" but he's already has had years of NFL coaching and practice. It just is what it is now, and the Packers have probably got a better option on their roster already.

@@tomcollins5112 Sitting behind Rodgers gave Love the chance to learn the playbook, and what to expect when he’s the starter, but he was always gonna need live reps to really improve, just like sparring for a fight isn’t the same as actually being in one, the more actual games Love plays the better he’ll get
@tomcollins5112

@@tokyorav3n56 It's not like Love hasn't had any playing time. He has played in both the regular and pre-season. But with all of his playing time he's shown that he is a sub-60% passer. Meanwhile, although he is a rookie, Sean Clifford completed 72% of his passes this preseason.

I like that Love takes numerous shots every game. He misses a lot but he always gives his receivers a chance and he attacks the end zone and first downs. Only seems to dump it off if the guy has blockers or space. I like him in the 10-30 yard range. He’s going to be very good.

As always, fantastic content, I knew Taylor didn't run a good route on 4th and 2 and then you showed it, great stuff! Pointing out the misses to the tight end, ball thrown to deep, or the tight end for a 3rd week in a row pauses and needs to run and stop with the uncertainty. Then you showed the 2 balls thrown short and to think what if Love begins to get those throws to the back 1/3rd of the end zone gives me a ton of hope in our new QB under center and the extremely young talent that's developing.

How quickly fans forget that Rodgers had an experienced veteran team his first start. smh Wish we had a few veterans for Love. He only has Jones (& Dillon who isn't playing well enough imo) who was injured for these important winnable games. Watson injured, bakh injured, Jones injured, and a few more makes this more difficult (2 TE's, QB1, etc) on Love for sure. MLF play calling after the first 2 games isn't making it easier on JL either. Learning MLF doesn't scheme the first 15 plays is very concerning.

Thanks JT, this really helps my novice eyes to see it like an experienced QB would. He missed a bunch of throws by 18” too low, if he corrects that he’s a 65% completion. but the Saints DB’s also deserve a ton of credit, that crew played very good

Thank you again as always, I was having a lot of the same feelings about some of those throws but couldn’t quite put the reasoning behind it as to why. It is becoming more apparent that these down field misses have more to do with his accuracy than anything, but it’s also clear that he can do it, I think it probably has more to do with a lack of experience as far as what throw your using when. I also did feel like he forced a few throws but I think the reason is because they were so far behind and he didn’t feel like he had a choice, this feels like a great learning experience for him, to really learn that you can’t force it, bad things happen when you do, and I’m glad for him he could learn these things with a win instead of with a loss.

Hey coach, I am having a son in January, and I want to be able to prepare him to play sports in the future. I know really nothing about football beyond being a spectator. Are there any classes/books/course I can do to learn more and help develop my son if he shows interest in playing football?

I think, given what he has to work with (rookie wideouts, rookie TE, a patchwork offensive line, and the Packers' most proven dangerous weapon (AJ) out, he has done all anyone could ask and MORE. I look forward to hopefully seeing what Love can do with the offense intact and healthy.

"Love" the analysis. I think as some of the other route runners start running more precise routes, we'll see Love's consistency go up. Musgrave has definitely looked like his head is spinning a lot out there. Sheer athletic talent is elite with him, but he's rounding routes or not settling in zones (instead running as if it was man) too often.
@tiffajessi6647
@tiffajessi6647 Жыл бұрын
Pretty clear Musgrave has "it", he's just nervous and is trying to do too much (or being asked to do too much). He's the only big target that can stretch the field with Watson out and Kraft needing to develop. Look for him to contribute more when Watson comes back and defenses have to cover them both downfield. He has wr speed with a TE body, he's gonna be good eventually imo

I thought Love had a really bad game until that last drive and then all of a sudden he was just DEALING. Love to see the resiliency from a young QB.. you had a bad game but here's the ball, go win it, and he played lights out with that opportunity.

Down your top 2 OLineman. Down your top WR. Down your star RB. Physical defense that's been beating you up all game. 7 points. You can't teach that.

He didn't have a bad game but he had bad throws. I want to say he had 3 nice throws dropped in the first half that would have been first downs, and the penalties putting the offense in the hole hurt them.

The scheme is super good and we started off better than I think most expected, but unsurprisingly the one thing that will hold the team back is the amount of unexperianced players. Love on his first year as a starter, multiple rookie WRs or 2nd year WRs, Rookie TE, some younger Olinemen covering for injured vets. Give it another 1-2 years and I see this being a top 2 Offense in the whole league

Yeah they have a high ceiling and will be a squad but fans should definitely still expect some inconsistency just like in 08 we started 3-2 with a win over Peyton manning and the colts in week 5 but we finished 6-10 not because we were a bad team just because we had consistency issues being a new team they still showed even through 2010 but in that playoff run it all clicked and we went on to win 19 games in a row from the 2010 playoffs to the end of the 2011 season💯

i think it's somewhat important to note that the play at 14:28 was blown dead before he threw it "away", therefore no flag. principle still stands tho too risky in that situation and could've been VERY dumb

As a longtime Packer fan, I hold my hopes that Love reaches his full potential, but I am very happy to have a huge question answered. Is Jordan Love a legit, competitive NFL QB? Yes. I think the potential is obvious. Patchwork O-line, rookie TEs, rookie and second year wideouts, no running game to speak of, down 17 in his first Lambeau Field start - the young man kept it together, buckled down and played ball. Gutsy stuff. Honesty requires admitting that Carr going down humbled the Saints offense, but attrition is part of the game. Watching vids like yours has a chance of turning me from a Packer fan to an NFL fan. Well done.

I feel like Love sometimes is indecisive on throwing back shoulder or lob over the top and throws something ugly in between the two. Saw it in preseason also. Also, this is my favorite channel and have been telling everyone to look it up.

@@hephzibah8854 Young Rodgers liked to create plays by running out of the pocket and throwing off schedule. Love seems more willing to throw to the open man on time and in rhythm. If he gets his mechanics down more tightly, he'll do that and much more.
