Oh my goodness! I love that teepee archway. Can I ask what you guys used? Like what kind of wood? We are planning on making one but my fiance is lost on where to start. My father was 50% Native American and could build one in no time but unfortunately he isnt here. He passed away in 2013 🙁

It was built from whatever was laying around. Maybe a Gumtree. It is not a very complicated but maybe google it if he's struggling.

Jason Pavey Well, I've tried Google. I dont think that it can be made from just "whatever is lying around" and to make an actual one, that's built to be shelter, is more complicated than you would think.

Oh I'm sorry I thought you meant the Tipi in the ceremony. Are you refering to the tipi at @14:28 ?

Jason Pavey yeah lol. I was like that looks a whole lot more complicated but if I had to guess I would say they rented it. Mine doesn't need to be anywhere near that big though so we decided to just make it ourselves. The rental places where I live dont have anything like that anyways 😞

Yeah I'd be very careful constructing something like that without an engineer or builder on board. Those supports were easily big enough to crush a person if they failed. We used a local tipi company.
