Unfortunately, like most of my peers I took advantage of the easily available birth control and slept around a lot and just as Dr. Petersen explained, most of my sexual liaisons were fueled by alcohol. To this day I regret it and it's the one thing in my past I would change if I could. I eventually met and married the love of my life and we were together for 38 years until he suddenly died in 2021. I advise any young person to abstain from sex until they have established a committed relationship with a partner. Yes,except that far too many women today feel the pressure that sexual flirting is not romantic flirting necessarily& they would better serve themselves to wait& find out what kind of man he really is bc you might be turned off by what you discover about his character. There is the other problem of too many women today suffer in this promiscuous activity& so is goal pressure from men just bc a whole lot of men like it easy to have sex with no commitment but they eventually tire of that but women have to defend themselves in not indulging his lust& sexual appeal & come ins to you as if it meant love or a love connection or possible love connection bc it vast majority of cases love isn’t in the picture& never will be. Lust isn’t love,sex isn’t love. Love is love & committed to only one person,not multiple persons simultaneously. Women have the power in this situation. Women lose their power when they get intoxicated some or a lot drunk and/or do drugs too. All of that erodes,even erases a women’s power in controlling that situation. If you are sober,you will be smarter about never putting yourself in any scenario where you might get raped by a guy you just met or saw at the bars or parties a few times& talked,even flirted some with the guy. Sober will still keep a woman in control of herself& thus,staying away fm nightmare scenarios like accepting a ride home or a ride to the next bar or party with a guy you don’t really know or dated long enough to know. Drive yourself,be the designated driver& that way you will always keep your path away fm the bar or the party under your own control. That does not mean that you give some drunk guy who has the hots for you a ride alone or with his male friend& your female friend who is very drunk bc she is not in control with the other guy who is likely drunk too& the guy after you is not in control either. This is a very dangerous situation for your lives bc an accident could easily happen as a result of fighting off some drunk guy. It’s never worth it. You can give him your number only as long as he gives you his number. Then talk on the phone,text,email,meet for lunch or coffee. Do a fun group activity like putt putt golf, roller skate, bowling,kite flying, a board game like scrabble yo see if he is intelligent enough for you, bridge,canasta, poker but not strip poker ever,, book club discussions,philosophy or Catholic or Christian or Jewish clubs to talk about current applications of faith in todays world, or political club,etc.

If someone's justification for any position is "the God(s) says"...they have no other justification for their position other than the logical fallacy "argument from authority". No different than "cause I says so!" and playing their God in the 3rd person. You might as well be an Odinian holding up Norse Holy Texts and saying "God says...." Absolutely no different. My son spent a year in jail because the woman had morning after regrets. Then she lied to her parents, the cops, and the court. So he went to jail with a huge bail that was unaffordable. It wasn’t until after he was released that we learned the truth. Finally the court decided she lied. He took a plea deal to get out of jail, he got 3 years probation and ordered to have no contact. The woman went about her life probably doing the same to other men. She had claimed rape when she begged him to come to bed with him. Personally I want to prosecute that woman. But since they are all consenting adults it’s not up to me.

Exactly! The 1960's came and music, like today, is a huge factor ans was allowed to grossly influence our youth into rebelling against good morals, values, and principles. We then had an epidemic of men and women w- hore-s instead of being honorable to put in the time, effort, and work of building a genuine relationship. Their utter carelessness that was encouraged by the music industry then lead to the epidemic of aids and other diseases which has now killed millions of people. Instead of fixing the problem at the root of the cause by encouraging the sanctity of s-x within a marriage, their idea was to merely find a way to keep having s-x with whoever you want and for whatever reason you want while preventing the spread of the diseases and then even encourage s-x through being taught in our schools. Even back in the 90's when I was in school, there was not one time we were taught s-x within marriage but we were taught that s-x was our choice to have it (regardless of what our parents taught) and we need to use protection.

i remember in around 1995 women would open doors for me, ask me out, and sometimes even pick up the tab and or go dutch on the bill and we could be involved sexually. but we took our time to get to know each other and trust each other and then we knew when to open the blackbook and do "booty calls". it sounds trashy but it was the way of the 90s. women were finally children of hippies and yuppies and had a strong sense of confidence about their roles with men. and i do believe they were still more cautious and less promiscuous than their moms who experimented with drugs and like docpete said, liberated entirely without caution. i think the problem we face today is that women keep a count of lovers stricter then men and that count rules their sense of pride and shame. when they count is still somewhat in their control, they wake up and regret it, and they think they can "erase" the unwanted last digit. that's when they call rape. that's the very evil of our human ego and nature. sex is often regretful especially if its to fall to our whims for purely pleasure and especially under the influence of alcohol or drugs. good clean sex during daylight hours is how i remember the 90s and that was a christian society in texas that was in their most liberal city. then, culture shifted after 9/11. that has still to recover to find middle ground.

The only way to protect yourself as a man in the metoo era is to avoid women in your personal life, and to never be alone with one at work. There's literally nothing else to be done within the current legal and social paradigm. Women can and do simply change the rules regarding boundaries to suit their preferences whenever they want to. The consequences of an accusation are not worth whatever positivity might have come of an interaction with a woman.
@GenXMafia Жыл бұрын
There's good ones out there man you're just looking in the wrong places. Work was always...and I do mean ALWAYS the worst place imaginable besides maybe a bar to find a woman...long before "me too". Number one rule my whole life when dating was never crap where you eat. Work is off limits. Something goes south in the relationship and you'll still have to deal with her from now on until you quit your job or retire. Get off social media and learn to socialize like we did before the internet and computers. Humanity is doomed if we don't get back to face to face socializing.
@DeusExMachina10001 Жыл бұрын
@@GenXMafia It's not a matter of there being "good ones" out there. It a matter of society being so absurdly gynocentric that there is simply no woman who is good enough to make that bet worthwhile. The amount of risk you have to take is quite literally impossible for even the best woman to overcome. And really, what do they offer when you really think about it? Sex is not only easier than ever to procure, but it can be had from pros or dolls if you really want it (or just your hand if you don't care enough to bother). Comradery and companionship can come from male friends, relatives, and animals, and you'll get far purer love from a Golden Retriever than you'd ever get from a woman. The only thing a wife/girlfriend can provide that you can't get more cheaply, more reliably, and with better quality elsewhere is children. But even then, single father households statistically raise children just as well as dual parent households, and anonymous surrogacy is a far safer option if you absolutely must have kids. That way, you don't have a wife who can take them from you at the drop of a hat. Sorry man but until the nature of society fundamentally shifts away from gynocentrism, men are far better off keeping to themselves. And we aren't going to get a shift like that before everything collapses.
