Stumbled across this, it’s really quite inspiring how organic the conversation is, growing up half cast poly I often didn’t feel secure with polys or white folk 100%. But what I’ve learnt is that security comes from within! Appreciate this! 😊

Wow amazing deep korero. Few years ago I joined a meditation group because of a death in the family and raruraru. I found joy, support, knowledge, intuition, ego, happiness took me to a job completely out of my league. Ego set in happiness burnt out and I crashed failed. 3 years later I understood the lesson. I believed I could heal all. The mental health that entered the room took me down to their level. They were amazing people, so strong minded. Unbalanced neither of us grounded . My mindset was not confident, or not ready. I moved way ahead of myself. But grateful the opportunity was presented to me. Keep up the amazing korero, I always feel the moment of "omg I know what you mean bro hehe💪💪

This has been by far the best content ive come across on KZbin in so long. Thank you guys for digging deep into topics that are often untouched for so many of us. Fatherlessness, finding love, understanding your reasons, self care and generational pain or hurt - I truly commend and applaud you both for keeping it real, breaking it down and going there entirely as two grown men talking openly. Wishing you both and everyone here the very best ❤️

This was a very inspiring and valuable podcast, given by what seems to be, two very wise men. It is no easy task to reflect on your life and identify in yourself where the pain resides and how it manifests. Listening to this podcast alot of things resonated with me. Valuable things I took away, release the desire to control your future and how you should feel, being alone is okay, having existential thoughts is okay, not understanding others is okay, having a heavy mental load is okay, it is the journey unique to your individual self. Having enough self awareness to recognize this is where the mahi rests. "Being open to everything and attached to nothing". Too, it shouldn't go unsaid that those who aren't invited, do the inviting. Yes, people are busy, I listen to podcasts doing housework, in the car, at the gym, even if it takes me a few days to get through. The universe works in mysterious ways, just as someone is about to give up they may hear this and go in the other direction. I for one was greatly moved, and only found this podcast because of the recent Stan Walker Justin Beiber antics. Me te aroha, Danielle

Man! Thank you brothers for sharing! Been following you both via social media for a while now. This is the amazing side of social media, for you guys to come out here and be truly vulnerable is going to impact a lot of people and continue the movement of awareness. I appreciate that. You are resculpting the 'image' of who 'strong men' should be. I got a lot from this conversation and was able to watch my thoughts as I felt myself feeling envious of you boys for having the platform you have worked for and knowing my potential as a human and my skill set, yet not using them to my full potential. After seeing that I was able to feel nothing but love and gratitude for you boys for holding this space and speaking on 'fatherlessness' aswell as 'facilitators'. Massive respect brothers ❤️🌱

Meeean korero bro!! It's been a while since I've listened the podcasts so im loving the catch ups!! My understanding of your journey through veganism and abstinence from substances - and feeling good/tau within as a result of the life choices youve made is just confirmation of you being in alignment of your true self. And all those who connect with you in your spaces, embrace who you are and provide contrast needed for you to continually grow and expand on all fronts to ultimately share your experiences and perspectives with us... and i for one, am thankful. Your an inspiration to many and to have exposure so many more maori/indigenous role models is the greatest!! Kia ora ora ra bro!!

Start defining your words fill them up with your definition, not the dictionary, not programmed interpretations eg, happiness, can be a broad spectrum of interpretations, that are too many to attain, you can't find happiness if you don't know what you're looking for, so on the daily think of a word that you want to define, write it down and fill it with the words that you can attain. All these words have been overused and abused over time, that they have become watered down or revered and untouchable. See how the word LOVE is used I love you, I love Spaghetti, I love swimming, over time the word becomes empty. Fill the words so you have something to grasp onto and also teach yourself to not be too high or to low, too high is too far to fall, too low becomes self loathing, what this does is teaches you not to need outside influences to lift you. Having a hard day, busy your mind, put music in your ears, mow the lawns, clean the house, earn it's respect, make it your sanctuary, to provide, nurture and replenish.

Shot Maori, you are correct with the matrix, but we as Maori as poly, we can have a more productive share than what our parents had with knowledge. Being robbed of your identity and language through physical harm and then come through all that, I respect what mum and dad went through. But we are on equal footing to gain knowledge with anyone in the world now. That's what's exciting
