most couples from different nationalities, like Jordana's parents, speak in both languages with their kids when they're growing up, so they can get used to it. that's why Jordana speak Portuguese so well. there's also the fact that she lived in Rio for four years, always speaking Portuguese, so that's also a plus.

But I've seen an interview with her on HBO, years ago, when Rubens Edwald Filho still was one of the directors of the network in Brazil, and she's really more comfortable speaking English. When she's giving interviews in Portuguese, for Brazilian reporters, she always mix it with some English words, 'cause she's been living in the US for so long that it's just natural to her to speak more English than Portuguese.
