I said this many of times blind landings are such a dark art to judge the speed but can we just appreciate how hard Jordan and his friends have worked to make this video possible big respect BRO and no dig no ride
@JordanBoostmaster Жыл бұрын
thanks ya I always try to perfect these builds! But it takes trial and error sometimes
@ashleytombs Жыл бұрын
@@JordanBoostmaster Yeah it does take a lot of trial and error when you’re building something new With my experience of doing 20ft+ drops I never thought a 12ft would have a blind landing

Word, and big respect to the helpers. Those guys are the real ones. They get nothing out of this, it's not like they're making content too. Just giving time and day-long effort for Jordan and us. Thank you helpers!

But now get the feeling of going into a 45 foot drop blind (it’s fucking sketsh)
@ashleytombs Жыл бұрын
@@AlfaMTB know the feeling but this is where Years of experience of doing drops like that with more blind than 12 foot comes in if you think a 45 ft is sketch check out this go to Jono Jones Channel look out for the title called downhill huge free ride huge drop Start the video at 13 :23 and watch from there

As long as those vines arent like bending or covering the threetops it isnt hurting it cause it just uses the tree for support. So as long at it isnt blocking photosynthesis from happening it doesnt really matter. Just wanted to tell you that so you dont have to do that. If its ivy if its not than it may be hurting it but if its ivy it doesnt matter.

Something about super janky rock drops is the most satisfying thing to me, one of the first things I added to my own backyard freeride line was a super greasy boulder drop off this 5ft rock (the only rock thats dropable anywhere around here) and the sketch factor was through the roof for the first few tests. Flat landing, basically no run in, super technical but an absolute blast to ride off. Maybe it's just the joy of building something crazy looking and then getting to enjoy it afterwards! Awesome video, looking forward to more trail progress videos this year :)

Good to see Wes back! Now for more builds!! Was good edit for sure. Loved the time laps and the shots of the HUUUGGGEE rock cliffs ( 3:00 mark). You might get some rock climbers out there to scale that bad boy LOLOL Can't wait to see some more stuff. As I haven't ridden a trail yet I can't say it would be doable, but It makes me wanna try it for sure! xD Edit: And the thing I REALLY wanna see. Is some kind of jump onto a rock... that is kinda like sidways? and ride it like a berm, into the landing. Like a wall ride on a rick, but not vertical. If possible making it like a really tight section where your in a valley of rocks would be cool but ionno if you have a spot like that. That or make it open and slam a huge step up after it, so you can manual the rock ride into huge no hander on the step up.... thats my vision. BUt really, anything you build will be fun to watch!

Two Ideas. Put in a zipline next to the trail features so you can have someone do tracking video shots as you ride through the line. Also, try to make friends with an Arborist to climb the trees and pull the vines off the trees. Arborists can help with installing zip lines properly in a way that doesn't hurt the trees.
@OfficialDragonPlaysYT8 ай бұрын
@umaikakudo that’s actually a really cool idea. He could also get a drone shot, but still a great idea.

I’d get up on that rock & sweep all that dirt off as much as I can , that way it’s not so slippery , then continue a trail upwards . As far as that shark fin jump I’d clear that log & most of the vegetation leading up to the landing . You could even go as far as making a straight on jump to the right side of the shark fin jump leading around to the same trail so there’s 2 ways to go , left or right , maybe even spray painting lines on the rock itself 2 tell riders which path to take , left or right yet leading out to the same trail . If you use spray paint get bright colors & make sure their a flat paint that way you don’t slip on the paint . Over time the paint will wear & fade but there will be trace amounts of it on the rock which would be cool . Maybe neon colors . As far as a name I’d call it ( rock n roll drop in ) .
