Just an update -- "highest selling K-pop girl group ever" the chart shows 3,750,000 units, but as of 2022 the total is now up to 12 million ++ worldwide. The reality show SIXTEEN had very little audience share and low tv ratings so after their debut, the members had to promote themselves in small venues like schools and universities. These girls didn't have it easy getting all the way to the top of the food chain.

SIXTEEN was Brutal - Momo & Tzuyu were the ones eliminated, JYP brought Momo back coz of her insane dancing skills, the people's votes got Tzuyu back. And yes they pronounce Tzuyu as Chuu-wee, coz the real Chinese way of saying her name is hard AF.

14:05 it’s because people hate on TWICE for having a “cute” (hyper feminine) concept that they grew success with. Also most people like girl groups with a girl crush/cool/mature concepts. But Twice do experiment with a lot of different concepts but still get hated on for being associated with a “cute” concept. i love all of twice’s different concepts and sounds it’s so versatile and them being apart of the songwriting (+ composing) process of their songs on their albums. talented queens 👑

Cody and wyatt actually got it wrong, theres 16 women who joined the competition for 7 spots, 7 won and the other 2 (momo and tzuyu) were chosen by jyp himself. This is because he thought the group was lacking in dance so he added momo and tzuyu was the most popular contestant and the one who improved the most out of those 15 women Also fortnite stole that dance from dahyun without crediting her😟

Regarding on the last part, it might be because some people are hesitant to check out twice since they were labeled as being "cute" which might not be the taste of some in music. As time passes by, twice have tried different concepts which is what i like in the group. You should also check out some of their b-sides of their albums!! The songs in the album have a wide range of styles. If you want to check out their personalities beyond their music, I suggest checking out their "Time To Twice". It's really long, but it's definitely worth it! It literally makes me smile as I sleep after watching each episode XD

Time To Twice is their more recent take on a reality show and each one is themed... A murder mystery (2 separate series), chocolate factory, theme park, spring picnic, camping, all sorts! Any is good to react to.

they missed out the fact that mina was given the main dancer position during cheer up era so twice has two main dancers (momo & mina) ☺️ jihyo's long period of training is basically 10 years. Btw, dahyun may seem like she'd be an extrovert on camera but she is actually an introvert and a homebody

They added 2 eliminated contestants back which were Momo & Tzuyu bc JYP saw something in them two, Tzuyu was extremely liked by the audience/popular & had improved a lot & Momo is one of the best dancer in Kpop till this day. So they were added into the group because there was something special about them. (Also Tzuyu never really got eliminated people just voted for her to be the 8th member so technically she never got eliminated just Momo)
