Usually when you see hooded figures (the ninjas) in BTS videos they represent the haters. Except in some videos the BTS members themselves are the ones in the hoods, so interpret that the way you want. In this video the haters eventually join together with BTS. Reminding me of a shirt I saw Jungkook wear one time that said, “Need new haters. The old ones are starting to like me.”

In Korean crow-tits refers to someone who tries hard to achieve something out of his league. Here it means underdogs who fight hard. Hope this helps! I have not found a BTS song that I do not like yet (only ARMY since Sept 2020). I am 49 years old from UK and more into rock/metal and have always hated rap/hip hop. BTDS opened my eyes and mind and I put aside my prejudice against listening to songs in another language, they also opened my mind other music genres. So glad I discovered BTS and I feel I am a better person for it.

This song is one of several in which BTS is saying their generation is being disrespected by the generations that preceded them , literally being called out in the press as the "giving up generation". This reflects the fact that no matter how hard they try they ultimately wind up sacrificing fundamental human rights in an effort to succeed. (there is a long list of these) So many ultimately lose hope. By following a path grown ups have laid out for them, in the end the prospects for dreams coming true and indeed genuine success are not particularly good. BTS labels the younger generation crow-tits after a small short legged puffy bird, often called the world's cutest bird. They call the older generations storks, a bird characterized by long legs. The concept is a short legged crow-tit cannot keep up with a long legged stork so is destined to lose. Not Today is one of many rallying calls to crow=tits to fight back and not have hope killed. They say today we fight. It is too good a day to die.
