That was a chilling story of greed, and untempered emotions causing so much destruction through decades leading to this moment in time. I think the concept of the well could be explored more. Were the actions of the family their own or were they influenced by the denizen of the well. Personally i like funny horror first, chilling or sad next.

I wonder why the dad didn't wish for everything to go back to the way it was before the well was found, with him being the only one to remember the well so he could keep it hidden?
@DanielKay064 күн бұрын
Yea just end with "I wish we never had and never will find the well", it should reset the timeline and prevent them from ever finding it. The well also didn't seem to "twist" wishes so it would do what it was asked for.

I think this is the best story you've done yet. Characters definitely made stupid choices, but who wouldn't in such a stressful situation? I had a few tears brought to my eye a few times throughout this story. It's especially relatable to have all one's actions made in the interest of helping others, yet being misunderstood and plotted against. Just an excellent story and an excellent narration, thanks for gracing my ears!

Wows. This story really leans into the Jinn mythology that they are tristers who grant wishes with strings attached which is wny in Aladin he is told to word his wishes wisely . The Well itself is a Jinn or Genie. The phrase becareful what you wish for really hits home. Both your naration and the writing really helped bring the story to life, parts of it made my skin crawl and i felt really bad for Ben. Im now wondering why they built the house was built there in the first place as Im assuming the Well predates the house. I also love when a story makes me think and want explore more into the story. Im now full of questions.

Yeah, NO. After that one hour mark, this thing is so derailed. What man and father in his right mind would tell off the shitty mother in law, turn around and ask her to watch the kids, leave her ALONE with the well, and then give up all the power and leave? It gets dumb real quick. I hate this woman. And although everyone paints this man as some kind of toxic male, he's actually quite a beta. He let his sone punch him in the gut. Are u kidding me? Hell no. And the MIL should have been forcefully taken out of the house and driven away the day she got there. Period. I'm an almost 46 year old wife/mother, and I know how manipulative females can be. She got in her daughters ear and talked that smack. This whole family is F-ed up. No one is behaving like they should. I just hate how every single character has handled this scenario so far.
