hello, im gonna add a comment where the Chinese Tiktok (Douyin) made an analysis about this MV, its a bit disturbing as they go on but here's what they found. DISCLAIMER: Note that all of these are not analyses by me, I'm just translating what I saw from Douyin to here to let people have further discussion about this MV. on the start, wonhee is calling with a mysterious person on 0:04 , the whole room was dimmed, even the small sunlight would make the girl happy, this shows the girls are still a child on 0:07 , where wonhee said "I want you". If it's a girl's matter, she should at least smile. This expression is obviously displeased or even resentful. She seems to have learned something (combined with her phone call with the mysterious person earlier, she might be the first girl to realize the problem) on 0:08 , The dim and narrow space had white walls and a red floor. If this were to be considered a girl's room, it would be somewhat absurd. This kind of space resembles more of a hotel or an SM playroom in terms of color scheme (50 shades of grey types). Dreamcore doesn't have such things on 2:20 , Since it's in the style of dreamcore girls, why is the background a pillow? These girls don't live together, nor have they ever had a pillow fight scene. What is the significance and purpose of the pillow? on 2:46, The Invitation from the Unicorn. a mythological anecdote: Isidore of Seville wrote in the year 600 AD that the unicorn is a cruel beast, often fights with the elephants. He also noted that unicorns could easily be lured and captured by using young girls. Typically, arrows are marked while sliding, but here the arrow changes size from the base. Pay attention to the shape of the arrow on 7:58 , By normal logic, what should be floating here are bubbles, balloons, feathers, and the like, but why is it plastic bags? This isn't consistent with Dreamcore either. Plastic bags haven't appeared before. Does the plastic bag imply condoms? on 9:51 , There's not much to say about this; this looks like it resembles losing one's virginity on 10:00 , Can't see the ceiling clearly, feeling dazed, no matter how you look at it, this resembles post-coitus. Those with sex experience should know what I'm talking about. Similarly, when passing through walls, NMIXX sees brightness, but why does it feel more oppressive and darker passing through here? Furthermore, their expressions are clearly of fear and confusion on 11:06 , Iroha, who discovers the truth, leads everyone to obtain the key, while the "spy" on the far right (Wonhee) wears a worried expression. on 11:42, they got the key and tried to escape on 11:50 , wonhee's gaze seems off, giving a sense of doing something wrong and feeling sorry for everyone. on 11:52 , In the end, they still couldn't escape. Ribbons around the bed? Ribbons haven't appeared on their clothes, so what are the ribbons for? to tie them.

additional note, at 7:01 watch what pose the two flowers are in… also around 9:44 if you listen really carefully there is the sound a bed creaking in the background… isn’t it kind of odd that this is appearing in an mv with a “childlike” concept? (i’ll be honest, the sound is really hard to catch, it took me at least 5 times to catch it myself. you would hear it more clearly if you searched for the instrumentals.) the chinese community has found many many more details which i will not describe here, but the deeper you go the more there is. even if you think this may be over exaggerated, sure, maybe if it was one or two single elements. then i would understand why you’d say that. but there are 10+ elements in this mv hinting at pedophilia and sexual intentions. keep in mind that this is a girl group containing two minors.

As a survivor of child SA myself and someone who is v close to the members in age, I saw the rumors and how other survivors apparently felt about the mv so I watched this mv many times, slowly, quickly, forwards, in reverse etc. The only thing that makes it feel off for me is the whole cutsey horror implied in the backrooms style parts. Which considering their concept is dreamcore and has to do with them having superpowers and escaping to a fantasy dreamlike world (My World, Midnight Fiction) to be the real them (Super Real Me) through their dreams...yes, dreams that aren't nightmare but still have you waking up uneasy are a thing and that is what that part represents to me. Sure, the arrow gif is a little odd, but jumping to that kind of conclusion is even stranger to me. Yes, young and older kids can and do draw flowers like that, I work with enough them that I should know. White socks are white socks and they aren't focusing so much on the feet but what's happening: Wonhee can control light, Yunah dropped the marble. The unicorn is a floppy limb stuffed toy, if you don't specifically position it then it looks like that when layed down, I know all mine do. And leave the idea of unicorns representing *that* well away from anyone of any age thanks. Kids like fantasy creatures, sure, but they also appear in dreams as a kind of guide or as a pet/friend etc I have friends, and I myself, who wear similar types of cute, girly outfits and have similar types of dreams where we are running through distorted and shifting doors and halls and hit claustrophobic dead ends. Things are odd and strange in dreams, hence colourful plastic bags not balloons, and the faces covered by shadows, stranger looking sets where you can't see the ceiling, shadowy figures, odd light sources. Also, a way I often know if something is a dream or not is counting my fingers, 10 fingers means it's real, 9 or less means it's fake aka a dream. A lot of this evidence is circumstantial at best, and doesn't really support the claims. You have to go out of your way to make a lot of them make sense within the context they're presented within the MV. It says far more about the people who started these claims than the producers and creative directors. And the girls are nervous because they get a lot of hate for pretty much anything they do and then this? I would've had a nervous breakdown by now (Thought I'd add that ribbons are generally seen as something girly, hair ribbons, ribbons as part of outfits. shoe ribbons, decoration for rooms (tied around an item to make it look cuter etc), jewellery. So the ribbon argument doesn't carry any weight either and it's confetti on the bed not ribbons do people not use party poppers any more, balloons with confetti in them etc?)

My interpretation of the Magnetic Music video: The girls start off in a dream (which is represented by Wonhee "waking up". Then they have all the powers and interesting things happening (like when Yunah scrapes her knee but its glitter). Then we find the plot of the dream- to find the unicorn. It's essentially nonsensical and they explore a weird looking hotel to find it (and the backrooms which tie into the whole dreamcore and liminal space thing going on). Similar to a dream, they follow hints but also try to play and have fun. But they start to realize they're in a dream (I think it's the shot of them looking serious for the first time in more realistic clothes). They start to explore the dream and play around with what they can do in the dream (similar to lucid dreaming) They change clothes and go into the closet (losing control of the dream? Maybe? Or maybe "sticking to the plot" a bit more- they aren't fully lucid) Instead of looking for the unicorn, though, they start to try and escape the dream/ gain control When Yunah breaks the wall, it's breaking out of the dream (or trying to) That is when the dream becomes a nightmare. The dream gets a more hazy, lucid feel to it and more inexplicable things happen, and the dream tries to keep them on track as they try to escape (when they try to open the doors and find the unicorn) They find the key to the dream, and eventually escape (which is shown by rolling on the floor as it transitions into bedding) Finally, they've "escaped", and can have sweet dreams again

Everybody, stop sexualizing the mv. I'll tell you its meaning. Bae is a name in korea. Dash means faster. So let me tell you what its about! They're all playing the same person, but in different bodies. Illit are a teenage girl, she likes a boy, better to say obsessed with a boy. She just cant hide her love for him anymore, so she starts to make up a confession (the puzzle pieces). She just cant think of the last part though. (The puzzle pieces that she used the force on.) For a bit, it shows that they're stuck trying to write a confession. Bae = his nickname Dash = faster Bae, bae, bae, bae, bae, *bloop* Dash, dash, dash, dash, dash. This means that shes telling him to come faster for her love, she just really wants him and is obsessed. At the end, the bows are her favorite thing. So she puts them on her confession letter, it doesnt show it though. Now to clear some things up that you guys are saying is proving your point right, let me explain that. Unicorns are her favorite animal, and they signify "bae" (her crush, her soon to be boyfriend) with the unicorn. The flowers seems like shes gonna give it to him. Overly young looks is because of the dreamcore soft aesthetic, it also just seems like kbs and the idol standard things. The repeated scenes of only feet and socks seem that she had gave him socks, possibly it was winter or christmas for the setting of the mv. The cute children stickers are because shes a really soft girl and likes cute things, so of course she'd like the stickers. She had also put those on the confession letter. Stop sexualizing everything, its a cute little story. If you want me to clear up anything else just reply it and I'll answer.

This kinda random artsy dreamy concept reminded me of NewJeans' Cool With You MV. Even the energy in their dance reminded me of NewJeans' dynamic, energetic, and youthful way of dancing and moving across the screen. The music though is pretty unique (at least for me, based on the ggs I'm currently watching and supporting) and catchy. It isn't a show off piece where it is powerful and has that desire to stand out. I could jam to this when I'm just chilling and I will still be impressed by it. Among the 5th gen groups, I would look forward to this group along with KISS OF LIFE and BABYMONSTER. I just hope though that they would have a standout theme of their own and would not just be another NewJeans, because for me, NJ is still pretty new, and I fear they might just rush to make stuff for both of them that they would be just almost sister groups.

Honestly, I'm baffled by people who think this song has underlying sexual undertones. To me, it's more like a whimsical, surreal fantasy with a playful aesthetic. The video's childlike, pastel vibe and the stylists' decision to make the singers look younger completely dispel any notion of sexuality. Even the quirky parts, like the ponies, seem to be going for a lighthearted, carefree feel rather than anything suggestive.
