Hi Jordan nice one .nice fence you have put up is it to hold some sheep in, or two ostrich? We love the new goats and the billy looks fine. The chicks all look well and the goslings too. We're pleased you've finally got some mates for Ryan! The pigeons are pairing up nicely nd you're doing a good job on the pond. It's very windy here too, that's following unseasonal frosts which seem to have finally gone. We're finally planting the field up and have spent today amongst lettuce and onions!! Take care stay safe Malc and Ann, (England) UK xx

Jordan, that tall cane grass with the big seed heads is called phragmites. They are very invasive have been known to destroy natural wetlands. I would pull them out sooner than later.

I am glad to see you are pushing the pigeons out farther now you are doing it right take them to the same place several times when you know they have learned to go strait home from there then move them out farther I start my young birds out loft flying after they are flying for an hour or so around the loft then I take them out a mile or so just to let them get use to the basket and then out to 5 miles as soon as they have learned to come strait home from 5 miles then I push them out to 10 miles and repeat the same process then they go out to 25 miles then 50 mile after they can beat me home from 50 miles then I jump them out to a 100 miles just remember the birds have to stay in good shape and in great health to hold up to distance training after they are coming home from a 100 miles if they are good birds they should be able to come home from a lot farther with out much more training if you decide to join a club and start racing then you will need to learn how to feed and medicate your birds I hope this helps

Those tall water plants with the feathery tops look like Phragmites, in Utah they consider highly invasive. They choke out native plants and grow to thick to allow good duck nesting sites. Utah does a big burn, a couple of times a year to try and keep them in check.

Time is a factor for your nice old racer, he is 14 yrs old and may only live another couple of years so i would put him on a couple young hens, 2-3 years old if possible, and try to get 2 rounds from each. You could float the eggs to a pair of fancy pigeons. You should look for the structure of the bird more then color unless youre just doing it for fun. John Lamberton has a good video on what to look for in a good racer, I will post it on my playlist.

If you leave to much corn or feed for the pigeons you will be overrun with mice and PMV plus other diseases ! Feed them till there full then put what’s left away in safe place unless there feeding youngsters !
