You probably can float the eggs to the other loft. Like you said, eggs have to be the same age. I say max 3 days difference. Good luck!

Hi Jordan, a good look round. The old racing pigeons laying well, you should get enough young stock out of them for a good loft. .Are you getting two calves? Wet weather here at the moment it could stay for a bit - no good for playing in the dirt. Look forward to the pigeon shooting with you and Bobby. We think a good name for the 3 times winner is either Tripper or Thrice an old way of saying 3 times. Take care stay safe, Malc and Ann (England) UK xx

I would definitely consider a new living arrangement for the quail. The wire isn’t good on their feet, and they really don’t like being that cramped where disease can also easily spread. I would recommend an outdoor pen with a cover on top for happy quail

Swapping eggs would be a sure fire way of getting more racer young birds in a season. Especially allowing you to produce so much more from your best pairs. Personally, I would swap racer eggs with every mixed pair. With these older birds, you never know when they might go infertile, so you are on a ticking clock.

In the AU they have a thing call the Ace Pigeon, That means that he was one of the best pigeons when he was Racing. That 3x champion cock is an Ace Racing Pigeon. If it was up to me I would move all the racing pigeons in the Red barn to where pen the new ones are in the red barn. That means the wild color ones in the frillbacks loft and the 4 old cocks in with the rollers next to your the pen where you have the 3x and his friends. With the two babies in your outside loft and plus with those 20 eggs you are going to have a great youngbird team.

Name your champ bird, Regal. You can take fresh eggs and store them inside (room temp) up to five days but you have to turn them daily. The trick is to keep good records and track the youngsters. You want the eggs laid and the ones you are throwing out within a day of each other. If they are too far apart the parents will abandon them. I would also move you nests from the ceiling down to eye level. In the heat. heat rises. In the cold cold falls so get them in a temperate zone, mid level. When it get hot get a cross draft going and keep tons of water, and mineralized salt in front of them, along with pigeon grit, and calcium oyster shells. If you have dud eggs mineral and salt is the culprit. If you have a bunch of extra cocks try to get them out. Nesting pairs the cock is usually the one on the nest during the day. There is a reason for this to keep them celibate. The problem exists when there are extra cocks the hens will mate and then drop another round and you will think you have Regal's kids and they will not be. Keep pairs together and singles separate. That will centralize where the banding needs to happen as well. Good luck my friend.

The most common way to determine gender in a turtle is to look at the length of its tail. 3 Female turtles have short and skinny tails while males sport long, thick tails, with their vent (cloaca) positioned closer to the end of the tail when compared to a female.
