The “you can’t fck this up” mindset literally changed my life. It made me understand why I was having circles of guilt, binge, restriction non stop. Now I am making progress and every time I don’t do it perfect or as I wish, I continue with my plan and I don’t quit like I used to do all my life. Well said. The foods you eat off your diet should be the same ones you eat on your diet. Eat when you want to, plan ahead when possible and overall stick to your weekly calorie average. Ps low calories won’t be forever, everyone does get to go back to maintenance eventually which is a glorious day 🤣

The short periods of deficit then maintenance is such a good idea! I’ve been finding it super hard as I am fine for a few weeks then start getting super hungry, for the first few weeks I actually don’t have much hunger or cravings then it gets tough. So having like a maintenance week in there would be super helpful

I’m suuuper proud of myself and almost at current goals. In the beginning people would egg me on (including my boyfriend) and try to get me to indulge with a drink or junk at parties. Now when I show up to social events and people see my progress, instead of egging me on, they ask me what I’m doing, what I eat, and ask for tips on their own health.

This channel has had my attention for hours. I have been searching for a channel that's not only motivating but one that will help me get on the right track to finally get to my fitness goals. A little backstory: for the last 8+ years (I'm now 23), I have been between 280Lbs and 300Lbs. I have always wanted to drop down to 220 but life and poor choices always come back to slap me off the rails for months on end. My fianceè and I are getting married in roughly 400 days and I want to finally drop down to my goal weight. This channel's guidance looks to be exactly what I've needed to boost myself to get to my goal! I will continue to watch and learn daily and implement everything I learn into day-to-day life. Hope to update progress over the next 90 days!

I would give myself anxiety attacks from fear of over eating at a party or social event and then I would end up actually over eating and believed getting back on track wasn't worth it. Awesome video Jordan. I totally agree with your "JAB Deficit" approach. I came to the same conclusion after my second cut. I went on a deficit for over 3 months. I started out with just a moderate deficit but ended up dropping and dropping and dropping my calories and then eating really little on Fridays (almost barely 600 calories throughout the whole day) just so I could have an ice cream sundae (my only thing to look forward to all week long it felt like) and STILL BE IN a 700+ calorie deficit. It was really unhealthy and NOT GOOD. I was so drained, experienced significant muscle loss, and picked up some really unhealthy eating habits and my relationship with food really suffered. I found from my progress photos that after about 6ish weeks I looked my best and didn't change significantly after that (even though I continued to lose weight). So I have decided 5-6 weeks is a sweet spot for me and I'm incorporating some 2-3 day diet breaks every 10-11 days in a deficit. I have been on about a year and half bulk which is going really well and I'm excited to attempt an improvised diet.

Man keep up the amazing content! Always putting out very knowledgeable information! To be honest with you, I had food anxiety and didn’t even notice till I heard your podcast, videos and instagram post when you mentioned food anxiety; I would be so anxious about not going over my calorie goal and would feel ABSOLUTELY horrible about my self and say “welp I f**ked up, I’m a failure” the worst part is I felt this was a normal feeling to lose weight. Now with your help and advice I have gone from 215 lbs in January to 178.6 lbs this morning MOST importantly I have developed a great relationship with food and no longer have food anxiety and I have actually ENJOYED the process and I feel a billion times better!! Thank you so much, we need more people like you in the fitness industry!! #sortinghatsquad
