Yes because JoJo is so talented I wish this generation really knew about her. Every time I mention JoJo they say "JoJo Siwa?" I'm like no lol The label really messed her up and took advantage of a 13 year old. She was on the Masked Singer but lost to Nick Lachey (at this point the Masked Singer is a popularity contest they pick the most popular ones not the ones with talent) She deserves so much more❤

Right! The reason that she’s the greatest of all time is not just because of her voice, but because she was so humble and didn’t look down on women. She always supported them and took them under her wing. (i.e. TLC, Jennifer Hudson, Brandy, Monica, Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton, the list goes on.)

Despite all that Jordin has been through, she hasn’t turned bitter and she has stayed positive. She’ll always win because of this attitude. She’s super sweet and we need more people like her. And honesty, there’s a lot of people who’ve been on American Idol and even won the show, that we don’t really see or hear from. Jordan is one of the people from the show who has had commercial success and plenty of people who will always support her.

@@babygurll7 Wild side did great for only having one performance, two if you count The fenty savage performance. Imo people actually downplay her success a lot. Normani has 2 billion streams and that's only on spotify. So people are listening to her. Motivation is 2x platinum with only one televised performance which proves people are buying her music. Wild side debuted at 14, stayed on the charts for 21 weeks with no promo. Broke a record on radio, and it was a viral sensation. I believe the song is eligible for 3x platinum now. This is the same woman who was gone for two years before that release, had people saying she missed her chance and wouldn't get back her hype. Yet she came back when another smash, Normani is actually doing great for someone with only about 10 songs to her name, and no album. We also need to keep in mind she is still not that well known to the GP, mainly due to her not releasing as much. Her issue has always been promo. Her team will give her one week of promo, and that's it. They need to learn to keep pushing a song, RCA looks for quick hits when one thing about Normani her songs have longevity. They don't leave the charts after one or two weeks. Imagine if she actually had the promo, she would be good. RCA has always been the issue, look at Zayn, Tinashe, Britney spears, sza hell Doja was signed to them for years and only blew up in 2020.

Jordin and Ciara were on the exact same label and I 1000% believe they sabotaged her because they didn't hesitate to sabotage Ci. Kudos to her for standing up for herself in an industry that's built on deceitful activities. I remember she had posted a video, holding Ciara's "Fantasy Ride" album and she said something along the lines of, "I'm supporting my label-mate, go out and support her" and I knew there was something behind it. The industry would rather neglect women than help foster their careers for the better.

I’m still mad about Leona Lewis to this day. What they both have in common, is Simon Cowell. Simon don’t know how to manage black artists or how to turn them into longevous acts. He just wants a quick cash in while there’s buzz from “(insert talent show name here)” and when it starts to fizzle he has no plan for a rebrand/transition or anything, he just checks out.

The fact that Whitney Houston looks so happy and healthy during the filming of this movie, and then end up facedown overdosed in a tub is baffling to me. I don’t understand how she slipped so fast and it makes my tan hat start tingling even more because normally the downturn isn’t that fast from filming a movie to the movie coming out is not that long of time in between for her to slip so far rest in peace. I’m so sad for her.

The Industry is evil. The amount of celebrities dying in bathtubs or wherever from overdosing is not coincidental. Including Whitney's daughter ending up the same way. They unaliven some of these people. When Chaka Khan spoke out about Hollywood's dark side, after her friend Whitney's death, she soon after ended up in "rehab". Stardom, fame, tons of money, comes at a cost. Some of them pay with their lives or the lives of another.

@@gailainsley6939 Sigh. The drama created around Nicki came from a lot of industry folks being upset they couldn’t control her. So many of those narratives were literally created. I remember American Idol making some of my own teachers in high school say they now loved and respected her because they were able to see her personality outside what the narrative was. Waves of that have happened every handle of years. 2018 was the worst year but she still climbed out of it. Not liking someone and them being problematic can be two very different things

Many try and never find the support they need to go mainstream despite their talent, while others do, and many times want to walk away from it all in what we, as outsiders, view as the height of their success. However, it is clear this industry is costly, and the more the artist gains, the greater that cost becomes.

I truly believe that Whitney Houston is STILL watching over and protecting Jordin Sparks to this day! I believe she was re-directing Jordin out of the industry for her own good! Not only has the music become more "dark" and sexual as time has gone on, but we continuously hear about artist selling millions of records but are broke as a joke. I truly believe Whitney (spiritually) would say that she would want Jordin's spirit/soul to be FREE to do what she wants to do and NOT be trapped in these horrible deals like some artist are right now. Jordin reminds me so much of Prince, where she literally has the possibility and capability to do everything herself and her talent speaks for herself.
