The French Grand Prix weekend saw Jorge Marteen in a commanding mood as the race for the second factory Ducati team MotoGP seat approached. At this rate, the Pramac rider has already shown himself; he set a lap record to take pole, won the sprint, and prevailed in a brilliantly ridden, suspenseful grand prix at Le Mans. Marteen's French Grand Prix display will only further his argument, provided Ducati hasn't already made up its mind. He already feels as like he's tried everything.
It's also a difficult one, since Marc Marquez finished second twice at the Le Mans weekend after starting from 13th place. At Le Mans, the eight-time world champion declared that his adjustment to the new Ducati was complete. However, a mishap on Friday caused them to regress due to a lack of familiarity between the rider and the team. After learning his lesson, Marquez demonstrated once more that everything is falling into place for him and that a return to the top of the podium is just a matter of time.

Look at what MM93 has achived with *last year's bike* in only 6 months... Baby alien is unquestionably back! Martin has been riding a Ducati forever now and was only .4s ahead of Marc in France. And that's because Marc was 13th on the grid. 13th -> 2nd on last year's bike. What a master class!

KTM has 3 factory bikes plus 2 GasGas bikes so why can’t Ducati? Hard to completely find the regulations that state the number of bikes a manufacturer can have. Thought it was 4 but 8 Ducati’s on the grid (four 23 and four 24).

For me they both deserve it because Martin has been in Ducati for years and Marc Marquez just came and only five races he is already up there with them every single race fighting them with last year’s bike gp23. So taking everything into account they both deserve it plus Marc will bring money and more to Ducati than Martin and that will course problem for Martin to get the seat. But talking about this, I think the decision has been made and waiting for the announcement in few weeks time.

Marc. He's clearly shown that he isn't done yet, and the marketing dollars alone should convince Ducati to get him while he's available, and Honda hasn't developed their bike yet. Once they do, I expect Honda to back at the front, likely with Marc aboard. My personal opinion is that Marc should stay at Gresini. I've never seen him happier, and he is clearly competing at the front in spite of the older bike. He seems to fit with that team so well, and they seem to adore him. Also, I'm always going to cheer for an independent over the factory.

I think Marc should go to pramac and Martin to the factory team as Marc only wants a factory bike but Martin wants both factory bike and the seat.Btw I am a huge mm93 fan😅

As it stands Martin. But I do believe that after Le Mans people at Ducati are probably not so sure anymore. Marquez is definitely back and he’s gonna give all the other riders a run for their money. Never forget who he is and what most obviously only he can do.

Lin Jarvis said they (Yamaha) are getting another team in 2025.. officially it's a secret but it's gotta be pramac. That explains why martin has been hinting at leaving pramac all year. It's all starting to make sense, if you connect the dots. if martin doesn't get that factory ducati, he will ride for Aprilia or ktm. He won't take another satellite Ducati. It will be an insult. And I don't blame him. And if that happens... He will unleash fury on the entire grid next year. But in any case I think he will easily win the title this year.

Marquez is a bonanza in terms of publicity, public image of the brand. I remember when Dale Quarterly was not to the liking of Honda because of his attitude and behavior which would not reflect positively on Honda. Mr Martin reminds me of Quarterly, not, unfortunately Nicky Hayden. I have no interest in a self centered jerk. Self centered may be fine, jerk, not so much.
