When I saw him fight Tony, I thought Kevin was one of the best LW. And then he had a bunch of losses. BTW, his fight w Al was very close. Al won the standup and Kevin won the grappling. The fact that Al came on strong (like he often does, like vs Masvidal) and Kevin faded the last round left a bad taste in people's mouth.

there's a lot of talk about Nate and how he was gonna "do what he does & turn it up in the later rounds" but I was listening to either Fitch or Josh Thompson say on podcast that Nate only went to championship rounds vs Benson and Conor. That's it. (checked it on sherdog) He's been a 3 rounder almost his whole career except 2 fights so it's safe to say this reputation of being a championship round fighter is grossly overstated, never mind that he lost those 2 fights and Bendo bullied him. Nate says he was "just getting started" and people take him at his word because we all think that this sounds right. Even though there is very little proof he's ever done it.
@saltysax81

So your saying, you don't believe Nate had the cardio to go 5 rounds with Masvidal ? Regardless of his official record. You can ask any fighter in MMA . His cardio is at the top of the game . Easily top 5 for cardio.. I don't think anyone involved in mma would say Nate doesn't have the cardio for 5 rounds, Even Firas's predictions for the fight . Was Masvidal early, Nate in the later rounds ..

Exactly. The facts are that Nate has only ever won ONE 4th round his entire career. And that Jorge has amazing cardio, he could fight like that for 10 rounds. Nate had no chance whatsoever, the doctor saved him from a further beating

The bottom line is he wasn't beating masvidal without a finish (that he wasn't going to get because masvidal was too prepared for him) regardless of how much he did in rounds 4 and 5 because he already lost the 1st 3 rounds definitively. So honestly, who gives a flying fuck about 2 more rounds? I get nate has fans who wanna see him preform no matter what, but he wasn't beating masvidal....I dont give a fuck how bad ass he is lol.

With all the punishment to the body and the fact he couldn't see out of his eye...I doubt he would have enough left to stop or seriously hurt Jorge. He needs to give Jorge his credit for kicking his ass for 3 rounds as well as pointing out the fact that he was ready to turn up the pressure. Jorge would have lasted. people are so biased when they talk about nate. i love nate he's one of my faves but he got destroyed with a one sided beat the breaks of someone. if it went on nate probably would of been finished. people when they love a fighter they can never be honest. all 3 judges had it 3-0 masvidal and 2 of the 3 judges gave masvidal a 10-8 first round. nated would of had to ko masvidal to win and there is no way masvidal was getting ko'd. he's never been ko'd in 18 ufc fights.

5:00 Tbh.. I feel like if Nate somehow started straight up washing Jorge away in the 4th and 5th, you would have an argument to give Nate Round 3, Nate did out strike Jorge in the 3rd, 57 to 38. I'm not saying Nate would have won.. I gave Nate about a 30% chance to win the fight if it went into the 4th & 5th as planned.. but that fight 10000% should have at least went on one more round. Big John more or less indirectly blamed Dan Miragliotta by saying the ref has the ability to stave off the doctor. John basically said if it was him, he would have pulled the doc aside and said, " If that cut gets any worse in any shape or form, I'll stop the fight and bring him to you. ".. I really wish we had Big John reffing that night. It would have been fitting too.. we needed a BMF Ref lol.

Diaz likely does not dope, the body is natural but his cardio is awesome. Something that makes a difference in how his body could develop is that on top of his MMA training, he trains and competes in triathlons. While many of the same muscles are recruited it does not occur in the same way.

J Creative true but Masvidal has only had 1 5 round fight and he lost that one after slowing in the later rounds. Nate was pretty battered but I still say there’s a chance he coulda poured it on for 4 and 5. Hopefully they rematch and we get to see how it plays out.

Would love to see Masvidal vs Khabib... I see khabib tapping him out in 3 or 4 rounds but Masvidal definitely clipping him a lot. Maybe even giving Khabib the best fight he has ever had. If you do not have a wrestling background, there is no way you can beat Khabib. However if you are a good striker like Masvidal you can at least make Khabib finally hurt for once.

it wasn't Nate's night. doesn't mean it will happen all the time. masvidal has lost many times before. nate outclassed pettis before. nate has so much scar tissue and he bleeds easily and bleeds like a pig. he has been split open in the last couple of times. nate seriously needs to fix and heal his face: he also needs to take a break and heal his body. he needs to go back and analyse his fights with his couches and come in well-prepared. masvidal came in prepared and knew how to beat Nate. masvidal stopped nate in the clinch. nates hand and wrist control is among the best: but masvidal knew how to neutrilise it

i think nate being dismiss of the doctor couldn't help either. The doc is just a human too and they can be biased. If you act like "stfu i can fight, i dont need you looking at me (attitude not necessarily words)" then that cannot help the docs decision.

I dont think Sam has ever said that all middle eastern people are ISIS. His criticism, as I understand it, is that a literal interpretation of the text leads to something similar to ISIS. He levies the same criticism against almost all religions. Additionally, reliance on an elite group to tell the absolute, and simultaneously transient, truth about an issue that goes against the evidence a person has compiled on their own is more or less an appeal to authority, wouldn't you say?
@JOEY_TREN
@JOEY_TREN 4 жыл бұрын
Saying that Orthodox Islam is the same as isis is completely wrong. Appealing to authority or not our scholars were warning against the isis and they're like since the early 80s when shaykh muqbil warned ppl from following bin laden and told him to repent.
@JOEY_TREN
@JOEY_TREN 4 жыл бұрын
Also there is no literal interpretation of the text you have to use the Sunnah and how the earliest generations of Islam understood it to understand the Quran and Hadith when you find ambiguity

@@rocklee5231sorry are you saying perhaps Sam harris' rational wasn't sound but his conclusion could be correct ? That a fundamental Orthodox Islam is like that of isis' Islam ? One quick example: isis believes you can kill non combatants in non Muslim countries because they pick the leaders who enact foreign policy which harms Muslim. This is in stark contradiction to numerous ahadith(i.e. the Sunnah) which explicitly say you cannot kill civilians. There's much more isis interpretation of text which is not in line with the interpretation of the first three generations of Islam which Muslims have been commanded to follow.
