i was listening to this when my mother came home and looked at the screen and asked me who is singing, i said mom its placebo, she was about to tell me something else but i shushed her and told her to please fucking listen. we stood, staring at brian and listening, hugging each other. this was shot many years ago in a place very distant to us, yet we both felt like we were there in the crowd. musical experience at its best indeed.

I really enjoy the intense moment at 3:11 when Brian pauses to take a drink because it gives the audience a chance to gather themselves and enjoy this flawless music. Then, I sort of fall in love with him at 3:14 as he walks towards the front of the stage again and eyes the crowd; I don’t know why, but this moment reminds me of his troubled teen years and how he probably never thought he would come out of that awful time period -it’s almost as if he’s in awe of the crowd that’s gathered there for them, for this band. I feel like he’s inhaling a breath of relief, like he’s thinking “holy shit, we fucking made it. These people are here for fucking Placebo!” I also really, really love 4:14 when he throws his hand up and sings with all of his fucking might. And jesus, how can anyone look that fucking good while smoking a cigarette? This shit is so perfect. Forever my favorite band.
