I never knew Jorma did Blind Blake’s song. With the arrangement of Keep on Truckin’ so similar to this I thought it would have been repetitive. But OMG! Jorma’s guitar playing on this tune is unbelievably fantastic. This is real ragtime. Blind Blake being recorded in 1927, sadly all the fills just couldn’t be picked up. I’ve always loved Jorma, Hot Tuna, and as far as I’m concerned, Jefferson Airplane was over when he and Jack Casady left. Jorma’s guitar playing is always first rate, but I have even more respect for him than ever now. If anyone has any more recordings of him in this style please post them. That would mean so much to me.

Even Jorma didn’t like those Ovation acoustic guitars but they seemed to work well in larger venues. To me they always sounded like plastic.
