I doubt the Garibaldi would have the stability necessary to launch a rocket like our Vega. It's too big to launch from a ship so small.

Garibaldi will be scrapped if we can't sell it. Cavour instead will be probably be scrapped too. Interestingly, the successor of the Cavour would be a nuclear powered aircraft carrier.

Why would they scrap the Cavour!? Makes no sense especially after the refit. Upgrading carriers (which appears to be the thing now even for those who can't afford it) if the IN decides to do that the Cavour should be kept because if they are not going to invest in a true CATOBAR carrier then getting rid of the Cavour will be foolish. A 40k -60k ton cat and trap carrier will be ideal for the IN since they have decided to purchase F35's (is it me or have other nations just given up on developing their own aircraft especially VTOL) so they F35c for future carrier and F35b for the Cavour any nation should have at least two true carriers in their fleet doesn't matter if they are STOBAR or Cat and trap, the French navy us a great example of what not to do one carrier to cover all of your power projection needs? Now they have a new carrier program on the books and if they have common sense they should keep the De Gaulle even after they field their new carrier which by the way looks like an updated Nimitz (they should by a newer Nimitz to fill that need) just a thought

​​​​@@bennuredjedi Hi there. Garibaldi will not be scrapped for sure. In 2021 Marina decided to keep in service Trieste 42k ton LHD/VSTOL, Cavour 30k ton VSTOL and Garibaldi 15k ton as the next heavy drones carrier. Looking after the DDX project.
