I was pretty surprised that there were not only swimming mechanics but also underwater mechanics. I was half expecting the devs doing something like drowning or tell me to get back on land but no, most games would choose to avoid this.

Played the demo, loved it. Order in, I have to say it may sound simple but I loved the satisfying clang of the perfect parry. I have additional support needs and Played on story with combat assist on. Helped me a lot.

For all the advanced players who want a more fast pace gameplay learn how to do the “Perfect Dash” technique. I made a video on the method to moving wayyyyy faster in the game (which so far isnt being shown anywhere in videos, so definitely check it out). It is not the same as dodge canceling but an addition to it!

@@theancientsam I mean it has it but the input isn’t instant like some other action games allow you, which causes players to turn to a more shielded approach to combat where they rarely circle or out maneuver enemies. The game is actually faster than the demo footage shown here. But the input delay on dashing still remains so the same result on players remain.

This video was so validating for me. The difficulty whiplash at the end is pretty insane, and for the final boss I particular, I had to lower the difficulty, which I never do. I went back later and was able to beat the boss on normal, but it’s still insanely hard.

I really wasn’t planning to pick up with game day 1 anyone but it definitely looks like a lot of fun overall. Rugrats Adventure In Gameland and Epic Mickey Rebrushed are my two most anticipated games for the rest of this year. I really hope they improve the controls for the latter game. Fingers crossed!

I'm not a fan of soulslike, because for health reasons I can't stress too much, too difficult games are not for me, the most difficult game I've ever finished was Hollow Knight, I didn't beat the true ending but still I completed it at 97% if I'm not mistaken, so I have experience in video games, but now for health reasons I avoid the one too stressful. This stellar blade seems really enjoyable to me, if I take breaks between one play I think it won't make me overly stressed, I'm happy to have a story mode for those like me who don't like excessive difficulty.

I just beat the game. The difficulty curve was pretty good until the last 2 bosses. I ended up turning the difficulty to Story for them. 😢 Now, with New Game+, I plan to take my time reading everything, do all the side missions, plus Hard Mode.

banishers is my fav game this year. Autosaves all the time so you can go back to pretty much any point, Combat is great when you learn different moves and abilities. Story is actually really good and unpredictable, Side content feels good, exploration is rewarding, no bugs or crashes and.... some how graphics mode has higher FPS than performance mode, plus better visuals. Strange but not complaining! A very good game i definitely recommend, nice to see a fresh IP. We have seen so many of the same titles and ideas in games that it was nice to see a new one

Games where you play as a character that interacts with a world is an RPG GTA is one of the exceptions that isn't labelled as one, but many believe it is an RPG. (i know, this is all very trivial)

How are you meant to beat the final boss its ridiculous been here half a day I can’t get more than 40% through the final boss. I don’t have time to spend weeks trying to beat one boss. I had to turn it off, on and on the save i got 90% but missed one thing and can’t go back, love the game but these two things have forced me to stop as I can’t get any further and don’t have time to start over

Felt quite the opposite for the final bosses finished them all in one night and thought the game was really showing it’s strengths with these fights. The combat is amazing and NG+ is done really well to build even further into your skills to make them stronger, worth running hard mode for that as normal is too easy.

probably affiliated with sbi somehow, i think this game is an uno reverse card magic trick they trying to play on us. trying to get us gamers to defend it just because it has attractive girl but the game is also not that good. its like 6/10 if we're being generous because it dosent offer anything that hasnt been done before and it still ends up cloning a lot of tripple a games in a lot of ways like bad story pacing. like you dont even know who you are or why you are doing what you are doing before your partner goes down, and im not sure if we are supposed to care about that character but we didnt even know who she was by the time the boss unalives her. little things like this break the immersion of the game for me and make me suspicious that they are actually affiliated with sbi in some way. the news surrounding this fireball has been off the rails. feels like a trap

I like to say it’s only a soulslike if you play it like a soulslike. This game provides many different ways to play, and gear to enhance those different playstyles. You can already experiment quite a bit in the demo.

thanks for the replies. I have played the demo already and I liked what I saw. Getting the perks to increase parry and dodge window helped but with it I still struggled with the boss. My problem is that my response time is not very fast and I tend to end up responding too slow to respond to attacks or press the wrong buttom in panic. Jedi Fallen Order I have played through and beat it but I would not say I played that game overly well. Really wanted to buy this game but i'm afraid the difficulty spike with the bosses in the end might ruin the game for me if I can't get my skill up by that point
