That's worth mentioning, but also, it teaches YOUR pawn elvish and replaces its current specializition, which you might not want to. In the end you still need a pawn for it, yours or hired.

FYI - if you want Medusa’s head as a wep, you need to attack her head with a lightning imbued wep. Those rogue blades at the beginning of the video are epic for doing it.

All you need is a bladed melee weapon, it doesn't require lightning imbue

Probably bc they wanted to make classes more “in role” so an enchanted boy sort of becomes a magic bow which is another class weapon

Is the elemental damage fixed in this game. I remember in the first game, using physical with elemental weapons would be met with going up against both the enemies physical and magical defence, meaning the damage output is reducing significantly.

You know i got the dead ringer from the first encounter without killing the dragon i think its a chance to drop it from breaking the pustules on its body so i had it since it fled melve which was confusing cause i thought you had to kill it

Its not that complicated. Fextralife dropped a video on it. Honestly your best bet is to pick one or two weapons you like with a skill you like and maybe a staff or magic bow with a healing skill to save on healing items

Yeah the sacred harbor weapons are so good. I got lucky and a random pawn asked to join but it and she speaks eleven If you give the inn lady a bundle of flowers 3 times resting or bench resting (I did 3-4 rests between gifts) she will give you eleven language for your pawn

Found everything on this list sans the last two as I just got to that area last night. What I would love to find is a greatsword better than what can be bought at Bakbattal because I've been rocking that for probably 20 hours now with no upgrades to be found.

You'll mostly get non-elemental weapons from vendors, if you value the highest strength modifier rather than using the elemental weaknesses of your ennemies, you'll still be using one single weapon.

They're right. Plus the weapon options in this game are a bit different from the first: no rusted weapons, elemental weapons are more rare and better at applying their debuffs, and the weapons are a bit more consolidated and upgrading them is different for DD:DA so I'd recommend looking up how upgrading gear at vendors works before just upgrading them because you have the gold and materials. That and once you get into endgame strong weapons and armor can just straight drop from certain enemies so I'd look into what quests lock your game into a point of no return so you don't miss any weapons you might want. I cannot stress enough that you should look up the DD2 wiki to see what weapons exist for your favorite vocation and how to optimize them, otherwise you'll be wasting materials upgrading them and being stuck with an ineffective weapon

Same hahahaha it took me 4 tries and I gave up. I ended up grinding Mystic archer for the ability to clear the cave with one shot. That skill is so underrated.

Eh it's not as great an idea when u realize 3 skills no matter how u cut it is terrible its justa class for fashion and cosplay playing an existing class hopefully they fix it id even take 3 skills that deal 20% less damage if I could still have 3 in general per weapon 😢

honestly i think the holy daggers are better than the dragon pains, and hence the best daggers because there are so many late game enemies that are weak to holy and there isnt holy boon in dd2

The best regular weapons always have overall higher numbers. Elemental weapons are mainly to exploit enemy elemental weaknesses, in which case they will do more damage than the regular weapons, or if you really like to apply specific debilitations like frostbite. I generally always have my fighter pawn wielding the Exalted holy mace, so she can always take care of undead quickly and have magick damage at hand for phantoms

militant dove a magic bow that is suppose to heal you, it is at the shop in the elf village, It was my favorite magic bow in dragon's dogma , so I was very excited when I found it at the shop, but when I finally got my magic archer vocation and purchased the bow.....OMFG!!!!! IT DOES NOT EVEN HEAL YOU LIKE IT DID IN THE FIRST GAME!!!! In the first game all you do is stand still and it heals you,even healing you completely, but come to find out ,the bow now only works like spells and curative items,only healing up the white area on your health bar!!!! I amso pissed off they changed it almost completely, it is not the same bow at all, 2 very different bows.

Well thats true, you have to remember base DD1 wasnt all that great either and only got the quality of life later on with Hard Mode/Speedrun Mode and BBI. Base game to base game DD2 clears imo
