Jose, the fact that there are people like you in this world, so talented, so humble, all while being so deservedly successful, is just a wonderful thing. I feel like the world today is saturated with so much bullshit, so much nonsense coming from media and the fast-paced, profit-driven culture we live in, that too many talented people like yourself never achieve the success they deserve. That you have somehow managed to be so gifted, so positive, and so driven to create beautiful things, and at the same time be so successful in pursuing what you love, is a sort of modern miracle. A real-Earth miracle, the kind achieved by people, by human beings of flesh and blood. As I think of the countless talented, passionate and deserving individuals, people who are artists, writers, scientists, musicians, leaders, and other creators and contributors who will never achieve success, I am grateful that you and others like you exist to remind us of the full extent of human potential. I'm looking forward to the new album. See you in New York in April!

I wish we, as a society, didn't let so many talented individuals slip through the cracks and not achieve what they're capable of. It seems to me like we have a system that is wildly inefficient when it comes to fulfilling human potential...

It's fairly obvious to me that he's a really smart guy (PHD in biochemistry) who's struggled a lot with existential crises. But he's found a way to turn that sense of despair on its head and really embrace the wonder of existence. It can be done - and when it's achieved you have a gift that very few people have. You can be in awe every day and never get bored. You can carry it with you everywhere you go and never need anything else.

At first, I watched this video thinking it was going to be funny or bizarre or something. I mean "Godless congregation" ... ? Fer crying out loud ... Now the Atheists want to normalize their deal, is that it? I will save this video to a playlist because I like to keep track of what the enemy is doing. It's interesting that the only thing left to Christians was the whole "milquetoast" thing, and now Atheists want to take that away from them. Being "edgy" apparently wasn't enough for these hipster dufuses, they needed to co-opt being earnest, and shit. I wonder how long before they tire of being folksy ... "Oh look! We can be just as clean-cut and family-oriented as any Christians! Let's take a middle-American style family portrait! This is what's cool today! Yay!"

This song has brought such happiness to me. As a free thinker, I have at many times felt alone. This song is a hug, and a reminder that it's okay to follow a path of logic and reason, even if you're alone on that path. How beautiful it is that we all exist. Some people go through life so wrapped up in petty unimportant things that they never even realize just how remarkable the odds were for us to exist in the first place. To me, the point of life is to find happiness, whatever that may be. We have the opportunity to enjoy life during our short time here. I will be checking out my local chapter of Sunday Assembly. Thank you, José.

Mr. Gonzáles has always struck me as such a kind, gracious, generous, utterly brilliant human being, and this video was yet another testament to his beautiful genius. His capacity for compassion truly knows no bounds, you can see, as he shines here, like a beacon of light-of hope-in a relative sea of darkness. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world, sir. Many, including me, would be lost without you.
