He fought Yildirim for mandatory instead of Benavidez for the same thing, and now he claims in interviews that he beat the BEST at 168lb, even though Benavidez has been rated #2 this entire time. He was offered a deal against Charlo and Benavidez for more money, but he chose the deal with what he thought was a rusty Bivol (he looked mediocre his last two fights after a lay-off) and a 40 year old GGG.
