He seems to sing from his soul and when he does it touches my soul..This song takes me way back to being a young girl of around 13 and i heard him singing this and i just so wanted to be grown up and go and dance with a boy and see the stars and be in love...honest to god even now when i hear this i kind of shiver as im back all those years..50 odd years or so now lol,but truly he takes my breath away and im young and beautiful and carefree again..just wonderful...xxx🙏👍💞🇬🇧💖👋🙂

Jose Feliciano always showing a high degree of skill and flare, complete and humanly perfect. A consummate performer, always acknowledged the audience, his fellow performers, and in this particular case the venue and its promoters. A class act. Mucho Gracias José. 🪄💫✨⭐️🌟💪👍👏🙌

Did not know this. Was it recorded? Is there a way that we can listen - see it now? Today and in recent years, the Star-Spangled Banner is frequently “stylized” by performers to varying degrees of success and or failure. I’d venture to say that Jose‘s “interpretation” of Francis Scott Keys poem, turned national anthem was not disrespectful in anyway. 🫡🇺🇸💪👍

This isn't the best version even by Jose'. I love both Jose' and the Doors, but they almost seem to be two different songs altogether. The first time I ever heard Jose's version was on an AM transistor radio very late at night, could even have been the wee hours of the morning as we were camping out at the time. Fell in love with it on the spot. Never even associated it with The Doors version, and I still don't. : ) I give Jose' full credit for his interpretation of this song though. Happy Holidays to all ; )

Insane talent here; constant vocal key changes without a pause....like it's nothing. Remember when the Doors were singing it in 1967 with 'Season of the Witch' and Jim Morrison was everywhere with this song. But when Jose showed us how it's done on a 12 string acoustic!

Why are videographers of musicians the worst in the world. They never shoot the person playing the interesting part and if they do they don’t show the technique. If there’s a guitar solo they show the guys face. If there’s a drum part they show the singer looking down. They certainly don’t know the song being played because they never anticipate the part coming up.
